Somebody recommended it to me when I was in town earlier this fall. I thanked them later because it was quite tasty.

One of Lynchburg's best kept secrets. Parking sucks due to the train tracks & renovations....but the food & atmosphere more than make up for that.

It's mid-range. $30ish for dinner for two. That varies, of course, with the addition of adult beverages.

I think some of it is okay, but I think some of their items are too "stuffy" for what the place is.

$30ish for two isn't bad. I was thinking it was gonna be more $40ish, which means it falls into that, "Only if you really really really like her" category.

You could easily do $40 or even $50 plus there, depending on what you eat. $30ish just seems to be where it falls whenever my +1 and I have dined there.

Nah. Always planning though. It's football season though so I don't even think about it really. It's not that big of a deal to me.

I know exactly what you mean. That's why I always order second: let it average out.

Yall are getting some bigger meals then I get there! This is one of my favorite spots...I get the Tuna sandwich (just as good as neighbors place) for $8 and their Chicken Tenders Lite Bite is unreal and I believe that as well is $8....and I promise even SJ could not eat all the tenders!!!!

Those prices aren't bad at all. It's essentially the same prices as the chain restaurants, just a dollar or so more for some meals.

Why have I never been there?

See my first post. Honestly, I never knew it existed until I stumbled upon it. My wife give the place her blessing as well. Plus, you get to color on the paper table cloths. If its good enough...they'll hang it up.

coolest things about the place:

The kitchen is made out of some kind of rail car
The seats are pews from an old church and the condiment racks are hymnal holders
The bar is some antique stuff from an old drugstore or something like that. Supposedly the orignal mirror was shot by Jesse James or some other famous outlaw while robbing that store.

It's all very interesting to look at.

and that makes a chicken sandwich you could get for 4 dollars elsewhere now cost 3 dollars more how?
