I can say the band performance at 2005 homecoming was better then this year's. That is just me, I was lucky to get the that 2005 performance on tape.

We get the band "In the Red" and they sing at halftime!!!!! Their "theme" will be "red" so that will make BJ happy and I hear they are decent although likely to blame their below average performance on the poor PA system

Oh you don't have to worry about making me happy...and that is one of the silliest ideas Ive ever read in my entire life. Look if you didn't like the script Liberty then you didn't like it and chances are you won't like much else the band does.

Now that's one of the silliest things I've heard in my life. There are tons of things the band can do that people will like other than ripping off tOSU. Most of us on here give props when the band does things good, and rip on them when they don't, and most of it's been brought on by the band itself.

the script liberty was lame....the band sounded better then i remembered them sounding...the LU chant was pretty legit....but the music played over the pa system is embarrassing...its like there is some girl with bad music taste personnally annoying most everyone with her brutal taste in absolute horrible music...also bad form playing tunes when the qb from presby went down...
the game presentation is worlds better than it was in the past pre rocco days, but there are some glaring errors and i would suggest that nothing new or experimental be added before they can perfect what they have

This is the greatest board evey. You guys are all so nice and kind. I really like haw you like nasaly female singers. Our team is great, our band is awesome. I love our Cheerleaders. I would say I love our Baseball and Basketball teams too but that would just get moved to other threads (rightly so - everything in it's place you know). I love you guys. I feel blessed to just be near your wisdom and kindness.

I don't know what to say.

I of course like the band, but I'm biased. The people from my church seemed to enjoy the band...two of them were really impressed.

As far as the dotting of the eye...I was in the first row...I couldn't read the Liberty in cursive...so we were trying to figure out what that one tuba player was doing.

I HATE the Ohio State University...so I don't know if I like dotting the I or not. I do think this was a homecomming only thing.

If we do start dotting the eye every game...we should have some kind of special people that did someting - like a student award...to go out there and dot the eye.

I've made a LU logo in ascii art...so it would be possible to make the flames logo out of the band...how insane would that look. Then we could have someone dot the real EYE of the eagle. That would be unique.

Here's what I mean...the o in parenthesees represents the person dotting the eye. The Xs are all band members.

No explosion here Dr FR...You make a good point about the issue with the script. I had a chance to look at a couple pictures of it from last week and it is quite hard to read...youd have to be on top of the press box to be able to fully read and potentially appreciate it. In any case, my thoughs are on this weekend (since my parents might be visiting) and the fact that after next weekend, band is not a part of my life anymore
