I was happy to see that sign...and its a 3:30 start which is a better start for afternoon game in my opinion....I know its a lame excuse, but at this point in our history not a whole lot of kids want to wake up early to get to a football game....its just the way it is....

I'm embarrassed to say that I slept my way through college: midnight to 7:00 a.m. every night for 4 years, then classes in the morning and a part-time job in the afternoon.
I've never slept until noon in my life, but I'm an who went to college before video games, the Internet, & cable TV.

you cannot sleep in my dorm before about 12:30. there are people upstairs running around sounding like they're coming through the ceiling, and there are people running through the dorm doing stupid stuff. it is loud, and unless you can sleep with a ton of noise, it ain't happening. then, like postman said, you have those who stay up all night playing halo and then sleep all day

It's the same in apartment buildings with people having parties, roommates having relations with girlfriends right next to your room, etc. If you care, and are disciplined, you find ways around it. Also, if you go to bed anytime before 4am and can't wake up for a 1pm game you're the laziest person on the planet.

I think the late arriving croud at 1pm is an embarassment. It reminded me ov UVA crowds. We don't want to model ourselves after them.
Just get there on time.

dorm life is much louder then most apartments...unless you live in the ghetto or something.....on friday nights in the dorms on most nights I didn't get to bed til 5 at the earliest....its the way it was in the dorm...it has more to do with lack of tradition around here then laziness...its all what you care about...

We are quickly approaching 200 people on facebook and have over 1000 who have not even responded. I am hoping for an absolute sea of red this week (My parents might be coming up and I will see if they can wear red as well)

Even at going to bed at 5am, if the game's at 1, you can still sleep til noon, get seven hours of sleep, and be at the game by kickoff.

No it's not. There's no way.

The only way we could get to 20,000 at this point of our program is with tons of our alumni showing. That can only happen on homecoming. The way our alumni base is, with people living all over the world, it's hard to get alot of alumni there weekly. You can only shoot for that once a year. We had our chance last week. Now we could get to 15 or 16 thousand. I would think probably more around 14 would be realistic.
