Hey guys, it was great seeing all of you at LU for parents' weekend. The wins were special, but even more special because I got to share them with you. The only thing I missed was making calls to you to give you the "eyewitness" perspective. We'll be at UNCA and PC this weekend. I'll try to keep you updated as the games go on.
I tried looking for what I could perceive as the parents zone at both the HPU & WU games and the crowds were large enough I couldn't find you all. BUt I will tell you my enthusiasm for this program grew exponentially over the weekend. That was a blast. We had planned to weatch the first game against Winthrop and then slide over to hockey. But Mrs. Sly was so caught up in the action that she refused to leave until the match was over. I';m glad she put her foot down because it was a great experience.
Generally, we sit a few rows up behind the team bench at the start of the game. Glad to hear you found it so exciting. This team really rocks and that it makes it even more fun. Volleyball really is a great spectator sport. There is a ton of action and the the ladies are so athletic that they do things that sometimes seem superhuman. Add to that that it is free to watch and LU, and it makes it a no brainer to come watch. Tell your friends to come see what they are missing when we play Radford in two weeks.
When I worked in Austin I covered Texas and as a result I have a taste for the game. But to be honest, the past couple of seasons had taken some of my passion away. But Coach Pinder has done an awesome job putting together this team and getting them to work together so well.

Look for the loudest guy in the arena screaming hokey cheers. You'll find them - been that way since we were tiny kids in whatever sport we played
