....I included the shots from the previous thread, and re-cropped some.

Some folks have asked about getting prints; here's a link to my order site. I set it up because it was too much for me to collect money and fill orders myself, so I hooked up with these guys who will print shots professionally and ship them to you directly. I assure you the charge for the pics barely covers the cost of offering this service--I do have a real job.

BTW, I really like y'all's unis. They look sharp with the dark blue aggressive-logo helmets. It's been fun hanging out with y'all!

(And SJ, I still think it's bad form to complain about the field for the kicker (extra point, FGs) when you win by 40 and your RBs seem to have no problem scooting all over it......just sayin'. That's honestly the first time I've ever heard anything about it. I'm gonna look into it. We need serious facility upgrades--as I'm sure you're all aware, our alumni base and donor pool is significantly smaller and less-well-funded than yours. We also don't have a nationally known, beloved name and spokesperson trumpeting The Cause. I know the staff aspires to the level of a Liberty or Coastal in terms of facility, but it's a process!)

BTW who's the Sasquatch (last pic)? That is one large human.

Didn't complain, just pointed out the obvious. The field was in very bad condition.

Here's a couple more from the other thread I missed above....Gotta love Hurskey as an all-time great football-linebacker name! That's what I loved about that shot.

I have a feeling there will be plenty of orders from FlameFans. Madmat, I know which shot you'll be ordering. And Auntie Ann, that looks like Christmas presents to me.

Honestly, this picture is what you'd see on a football card. It is amazing

Better take this picture down. Nick is out of hair code and Jarrod Stillings might give him reps. :P

look at the freaking stickers on the back of his helmet! I think it's a bit overdone. There's definately 2 NCAA logos

One's probably the Big South one.

you're correct. The one on the left has the big south "swoosh". Does that mean everbody's hat looks like that? it's way to busy back there. What's the logo right above the warning label?

edit: it looks like a logo for the helmet brand.

Actually, the CSU helmets have almost just as much on it. Looks like they've got the Big South logo, the flag, the warning label, the number and then a black dot of some sort which I would assume to be a memorial patch of some kind. The only thing I don't see on their's that isn't also on ours is the NCAA logo.

You are correct, sir.

What I'm curious about is those tourniquets around the biceps....what purpose do those possibly serve other than to force all the blood into the forearms and make you look like Popeye?

Players used to cut wristbands small and put em on the biceps to stop sweat from dripping all of the way down their arms. Companies then started designing them like that for that very reason. Some people wear em as actual sweatbands, some do for looks.

drdoctor! I am truly envious of your lens quality. Someday I hope to own an L series lens. Actually, someday I hope to be able to even begin to be able to justify such a lens to my wife. After that I get that far, I'll hope to own one.

Although, our photogs did just get the L-series 70-200mm f/2.8 and said I could come by to try it out. I guess I can settle for that. :)

The 70-200 is super sharp, renders colors richly, and has great background bokeh. But it's almost too hard to use a lot as you will have to crop quite a bit unless you only use it when the action is close up.

The 300 is what most of these were shot with....via monopod.

Thanks!

I'm ordering several to put in my sports room, the quality is absolutely fantastic. The hard part is trying to decide which ones and what size. Hopefully we can get some great shots of this weekend from the LU photo folks.

I'll have my camera but I've only got a 18-55 lense. And I don't know what I'm doing for the most part. So don't expect anything like this.

I can crop a bit since the 70-200 is less than half the price of the 300.

I was referring to the pro photo guys at LU like Les Schofer. He has taken some nice photos of games. As for me, with a digital camera, I just keep taking shots and hope that maybe a few come out good :D

Les does a great job. He was the one I was speaking of who just got the 70-200 for football this year. If there's a sporting event at LU, he'll have photos from it. I'm not sure how they go about getting people photos who want them, but I'm sure they have some method for it. I'm working on a project for them right now, actually. :)
