The problem for the Rockies is you really can't say "the way they ARE playing" because they haven't played in so long. It's "the way they WERE playing", which was phenominal. IMHO it's a whole new ball game, and if the Rockies can pick up where they left off over a week ago, that would be the most miraculous part of their miracle run. The team with the momentum right now is the Bosox.

except they had to expend a lot of energy just to make the comeback. they don't get much rest. but sorry i disagree with you.

2 things...the Rockies have had a ton of time off, and they also play in the much weaker national league...not to take away from what they have done, because they have done a heck of a job...I am still on the fence...I want to say Red Sox in 6, but every time I think the Red Sox are going to pull it out, they don't....so who knows...I think the lay off will only effect the Rockies in Game 1....it should go at least 6...

The same could be said about the Cardinals last year, or the Marlins a few years ago, etc. The AL is better, yes, but in a 7-game series, that doesn't matter as much.

My question for the Red Sox is this: who pitches game four? It won't be Wakefield, that's for sure. There's no way he pitches a Coors Field. Matsuzaka has never pitched there either, so do you move him to #2 and Schilling in game 3? Beckett and Schilling are more than reliable, I just don't know how the games at Coors are going to play out.

Good questions for sure..Now I don't think this will happen but I would love to see Lester get the ball in game 4....If Wakefield doesn't have the knuckleball going it could get ugly!!! I am a big Lester fan and I think he is more than capiable of pitching in game 4 if he is given the chance..Fingers crossed that I can get tickets at noon for game 4 on Sunday!!! I really like the way this team has played the last 3 days and I wouldn't want to be the Rockies after 8 days off...The Bo Sox will get the right amount of rest and the fact that no starters were used last night out of the bullpen was huge and it will not affect the starting roatation....Bo Sox in 6.....Let's raise another banner baby!!!!

This layoff does hurt teams...even in a 7 game series...note Tigers

Although I think this has the possibility to go 6 or 7 games I got the Sox

My rockies are a laid back bunch. They are out there having fun. Every one of them has said that getting to the playoffs was much more stressful than playing in them. Should be an exciting series, but I'm sticking with my home town boys! GO ROCKIES! (I tried to get tickets but was shut out. )

This may be the COLDEST World Series in history: I heard Colorado just got 4 inches of snow this week.

sox in 6. if they can beat up on the indians pitchers, they can handle the rockies pitchers.

The cold won't effect Boston much. They're used to it.

They would be wise to go with Beckett, Dice-K and Schilling out of the gate. Depending on how the first three go, will define how the back end looks. The Rockies are just going to have to go balls to the wall and outscore the BoSox. No matter who they throw out, they're going to give up 4-5 a game, IMO.

agreed, the only players that wouldn't be used to it are the ones that leave to their warmer climate homes once the season ends. they had to play in it during spring training and the beginning of the season, but that was a while ago.

boston weather forecast for games 1-2 (wednesday-thursday) high/low: 61/45, 55/45.

denver weather forecast for games 3-5 (saturday-monday) high/low: 63/42, 68/44, 67/42.

Looks like the real cold is going to be in BOSTON, not Colorado...
