Didn't realize Dan Patrick coached at Presbyterian  I can't wait for this one. The number 20,000 keeps being thrown around. Do you think we will get there? That would be a serious home field advantage. I am glad these guys beat Coastal so now we won't try to sleep walk through this one. No chance of that though really with the crowd we will have...Hopefully it will be sunny too. Sly, are you and the Mrs sitting with us? Tim Houghton, Cider and Smoothie all sit in the same area.

That sounds eerily similar to me a year ago with our third on the way. I obviously didn't make it down last year either.

Yes I don't want you to have to use MS Paint to take yourself out of your own family photos. We will pour a little out for ya though.

We're not affiliated with the PCA. We're a PC-USA school. Big difference. The PCA is a schismatic church that broke off a few decades ago out of concern that the denomination was becoming too "liberal." The PCA forbids the ordination of women and homosexuals, the latter of which is still a stumbling block for the PC-USA. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people who think Presbyterian College is far too "liberal." Not one of the professors in the department of Religion at PC would ever be hired by the Liberty administration.

Anyway, there's football this weekend. "Touchdown" Tim Webb is an incredibly effecient quarterback, and some of the picks he threw at Coastal last night weren't his fault; he got hit right as he was making the throw. He's also pretty mobile. The folks at NCCU said he's the fastest white quarterback they've ever heard of, and he pulled off a 65 yard touchdown run at VMI. Our receivers are solid, and I think we're only losing Justin Durant at the end of the season. If he hadn't torn his ACL, Mario Carter, the SC AAAA high school player of the year, would be in the mix as well. Y'all will like this: he had verbally committed to Charleston Southern, and the night before signing day he changed his mind and came to PC.

Thanks for the clarification, kilts. I'm not as up on my Presby politics as I probably should be. As for your profs and our school, its a Calvinism vs. Arminianism deal. But we're all on the same side even if we do have differences of opinions from time to time.

I have heard 20,000 since August about homecoming weekend...I don't know if it will happen or not...but it would be awesome...

PC sounds like they are better then any of us thought they could be....I am excited for some more football!!

I feel the same way PAMEDIC. Even if I could make it I will probably be standing somewhere with a poor view of the field. Maybe next year.

Is there really a poor view of the field in Williams? From the concession stand maybe.

The temporary sky boxes take away much of the standing room only area on the Bapstist side, so expect the grass to be full on the scoreboard endzone side of the stadium for overflow.

I'm thinking more along the lines of 17, maybe 18,000.

I think 17 or 18 sounds reasonable. 20 not so much!
Anyway should be a Phenominal day either way!
Go LU!

20,000 would've been a great number had we come into the game with one loss or undefeated. I could've seen 20k easily then. 17-18k is still great.

It looks like good weather and as a result I still wouldn't rule out getting close to or reaching 20k. The last home game was a blowout victory and the last game we played was the same. So we should be riding a positive vibe for students heading into Saturday.

Every year we play a homecoming game, we have more alumni than we did the year before. The Bill isn't getting any bigger, but our student body is. I don't think there is a number that would surprise me come Saturday. It's going to be fun.

Let's not forget that UVA is out of town and Tech plays Thurs night. That should bring some casual football lovers out too.

Is it true that LU has a "3,000 year old" dinosaur in its creation science museum?

We are putting alot of our private groups (churches, etc) right outside the end zone of the visiting team locker room I believe. We printed out tickets for the "Flame zone" in the ticket office yesterday. We might be able to get more than we think, especially since we've recieved alot of orders from churches as far as 3 hours away coming into town for our homecoming, and then going to scaremare that night. I think 20,000 is pushing it, but who knows.

Is that in some kind of temporary bleacher space or just in the seats on both sides of that end zone?

I believe we are putting bleachers up behind the endzone, sorry if the wording before is confusing. It is similar to what we did homecoming last year behind the home endzone.
