For the most part, Dane Cook is not funny. Chicks dig him because they think he's hot, and some guys probably do too. He has a few mildly humorous bits in an entire routine, but overall, not funny.

Mitch is awesome. So is Jerry. Dimitri Martin is also. Agreed on Brian Regan as well.

Although they aren't really stand-up, Flight of the Conchords are HILARIOUS.

From the first time I heard Dane Cook 4 or 5 years ago I did not think he was funny, then he continued to get bigger and bigger, so much so that whenever I would visit home friends would ask me to watch some dane cook dvd...I gave him another chance, and once again did not laugh, not even once....the guy is an idiot and I have no idea how he has gotten so big

A funny actor that has made me laugh almost as hard as Murphy is Ricky Gervais from the English version of the office. If you have ever seen the episode when he does the appraisals (Youtube it), it is histerical. I watch it over and over. Also he has a couple of scenes in EXTRAS, on HBO that will make you laugh. The one when he is in a gay play that Sir Ian McKellan wrote. The whole episode never stops. One laugh after another but not in a traditional sitcom way when they have a straight line then a punch line. It is way more creative than that. Also the scene where David Bowie writes a song on the spot about him is really funny as well. I don't like set up lines in sitcoms where you see them coming a mile away like on Sanford and Son. Another comedic actor that is histerical is Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm. The 1st episode from this season is too funny. If anyone saw it, that cake they had at Funkhouser's house was nuts

Ricky Gervais is automatically funny. He just has to talk – it doesn't matter what he's saying – and I laugh. I love the bit he did for Comic Relief.

Others will disagree with me, but I think Norm MacDonald is similarly funny. He talks, I laugh.

if you can take the swearing, his new cd that has sandleresque skits in it is absolutely hilarious...and his standup from long ago is great...

there is this 21 yr old kid at work who thinks hes hilarious...he was like he is the greatest...so i asked him if he'd heard some other comics...not really...

an ethiopian would probably think a cheeseburger is the greatest thing in the world....but thats because he's never had a steak...

The wife and I love the Flight of the Conchords show on HBO. It's not typical humor, but I laugh hysterically.
