If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

I was reading a write up on LCA's win over Atlantic Shores over the weekend:

Liberty Christian 43, Atlantic Shores 7

Brandon Knight had three rushing touchdowns as the visiting Bulldogs scored on their first five possesions...Michael Rocco hooked up with Brit Campbell for a 42-yard TD pass to open the scoring for Liberty Christian (6-0), which is located in Lynchburg....Rocco, who has committed to Penn State, capped the scoring by returning an interception 92 yards for a TD on the last play of the first half.

As a disgruntled alum of Atlantic Shores, I say congrats to LCA as well.

HMO, if this were true, don't you think that someone on here would've heard about it already?

Freshman commit in hoops all the time. It happens in football with sophomores but generally only with the super blue chip kids. I would be surprised to hear that a soph at LCA (even with connections to JoePa) would be getting an offer this early. But I wouldn't rule anything out.

I don't think JoePa is looking that forward into the future, mostly because he probably won't even be there for when Rocco enrolled in 2010.

I've been told by coach Rocco that there is serious interest from Penn St...I've just never heard anything about him making a verbal...thats the only reason I say I'm a little worried

Bigsmooth and I actually were talking about this just a few weeks ago

No truth to this one looked on Penn States board on rivals and they have a article on this one.

Rocco is a teammate of Virginia Tech commitment Bobby Massie.
Rocco, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound sophomore athlete, has done nothing of the sort, according to his father and head coach, former Nittany Lion quarterback Frank Rocco.

"We played down in Virginia Beach this past Saturday, and I guess in the Virginia Beach newspaper, they had come up with some information that my son had committed to Penn State," said the elder Rocco. "He's only a sophomore, and he's having a great year, I think that last week he was the No. 1 passer in Virginia.

Don't apologize at all, BJ. It was a very good note to bring up. It certainly gives you an idea of his standing that he would even be on JoePa's radar screen. Then again legacy's often attract more attention.

Mike Rocco could start for St. Francis, Charleston Southern, and Shippensburg this year.

a huge game indeed. LCA is ranked 3rd and FUMA 5th in the latest Divsion I poll and will go a long way to see who makes the playoffs.

I have less than fond memories of FUMA as a Hargrave alum (who LCA plays next week actually). I almost went there as a student but they would have wanted me to play a sport instead of being a purely academic postgraduate.
