TOLEDO, Ohio - Sam Rutigliano put his stamp on Liberty's football program in many ways. He led LU to its finest season, a 9-2 mark in 1997, and he coached the Flames team that beat Eastern Michigan in 1989, Liberty's first win against a Division I-A program.
