St. Francis hasn't beaten a scholarship team since 2004.
I've never claimed to be smart. A know it all yes, but smart not really!

my prediction is we run all over them this week. we will have a decent crowd because it is parents weekend, so there will be like 4000 parents on campus. every hotel withing 25 miles of lynchburg is booked already, and those people will go the game because most people don't keep up with it enough to know we haven't done so great the last 2 games

Just a little more on St. Francis:

The NEC started allowing up to 30 schollies prior to last season so all their conference games were technically against scholarship opponents and they did have 3 conference wins last year so I was a little off on my "haven't beaten a scholarship team since 2004" statement.

Against a full-scholarship D1 team, though? That would be all the way back in 19-never. In fact, they've never beaten a full-scholarship D2 team.

They're 12-43 under the current head coach who's been there for 6 years. This, however, is 5 more wins than their previous 3 head coaches had combined. Between 1999 and 2002 they lost 30 straight games.

You're right, parents weekend alone probally puts us at 12K or more.

As far as the game itself goes, we'll easily take these guys down.

51-3 LU. To paraphrase Lou Holtz: Someone has to pay for the Elon debacle and it's gonna be St. Francis.

7825 in attendance. Bandwagon has shaky wheels but still holds a few.

After this thrashing everyone jumps back on wagon and predicts stuff like going undefeated the rest of the way. Blah Blah Blah. On the flip side if we show poorly the basketball thread gets a lot more action and folks start predicting NCAA Tournament runs. :D

Saint Francis Red Flash 14

Attendance 11,900.

A win against St. Francis would still technically be a FCS win. I would rather schedule schools like Saint Francis than Division 2 schools, even if they are "worse" competition.

Hey, you could play Savannah State and Saint Francis or some other NEC school in your first two games...they would still be tune-ups...and you can count them as FCS wins. Basically have no D-IIs on the schedule. That's just my thought. I think the same thing with Basketball...Lynchburg College should be the only non-division one team on our schedule...there are a bunch of non-scholarship teams that are still technically D-I that you can schedule. It makes you look better if you win the conference.

OK, my rant on this is over. We'll pull this out but still struggle. The crowd is almost a sell-out, but some do leave eary because it starts to rain.

LU will hang 40+ on St. Francis. Brandon Turner, Dominic Bolden, and Wynton Jackson will each have a TD. Three rushing TD's as well.

Rashad will rip off one run of 40+ yards.

Defense will give up a TD in the first quarter, maybe on the first drive, scaring the crap out of everyone in attendance. They straighten up and don't allow a TD for the rest of the game.

Final: 42-7 FLAMES.

Attendance: this is a tough one. So many factors to consider, including parents weekend, 2 consecutive losses, night game, and more. I am going with over 10 less then 12. Exact figure - 11,371.

Hopefully we won't be tailgating this week, we plan on winning the softball tournament then going into the stadium four hours early to get our seats.

If we don't beat this team by at least 30 points then we have a problem, don't that we have enough problems already this year.

Margin of victory isn't how you can tell if we have problems or not. That just proves how negative you are. If we come out and Brock plays great for a quarter or two, the defense steps up for the first half, etc and we only win by say 21, you're going to say we suck? What if we're playing the reserves the entire second half? To base everything on a point spread with no regards to "level of play" is idiotic.

Brock throws for 160 and 1 TD
T-bone,reshad,cheek,and terell all have rushing td's

some of you need to go research our cathoilic brethren some more. their quarter back is TERRIBLE. but he's athletic. but SLOW.
on top of that, they have one good and i mean good reciever. number 4 Antoine Rivera. thats basiclly their offensive attack right there. at least someone stayed in the wagon.
