The Liberty University Flames look to get back on the winning track as the Red Flash from St Francis (PA) University come to Williams Stadium for the first time. The two teams have met on the basketball court, including a home and home series this past season, which the two teams split by winning on their home court. The Red Flash come into the game with a record of 0-2 (0-1 Northeast Conference). Last time out Robert Morris University topped St Francis 28-14.

The Red Flash are led by their quarterback George Little. Little on the year is 35-81 for 531 yards and two TDs. Their leading rusher is Anthony Richards with 54 yards on 21 carries (2.6Y average). 6-3 WR Antoine Riviera leads the way for the receiving corps having caught 15 of Little's passes for 288 yards.

Liberty comes home to Williams Stadium losers of 2 in a row, a 48-41 double overtime decision to William and Mary, and a 42-14 shellacking from Elon just this past week. Liberty is led by their quarterback Brock Smith who is 66-116 for 740 yards and 4 TDs. Junior Zach Terrell leads the rushing attack with 344 yards and 4 TDs in 55 carries. Junior Rashad Jennings is next with 162 yards and 2 touchdowns on 40 carries. Leading the way for the receiving corps is senior Wynton Jackson. Jackson has caught 16 passes for 254 yards and 4 TDs on the year. Game time is set for 7 PM in Williams Stadium. The game can be seen live on WDRL and the Liberty Channel with play by play man Mike Tilley, as well as on 88.3 WRVL FM with the "Voice of the Flames", Jerry Edwards.

I'm afraid to tell you this because I fear for what you'll do, but there may already be a thread for this.

well I don't see the other preview one (unless you are referring to the Links thread) so I'm not really all that upset. Its my first attempt at a game preview discussion. I did writeups for the Champion a couple years ago so I thought Id give it a go

Thanks for doing all of the legwork, BJ.

There is no getting around the fact that we NEED a big victory this Saturday. Hopefully the fans will turn out in numbers similar to what we saw in the first two games against the DII schools.

The Red Flash have not done well this year at all.

The QB is under 50% and threw 4 picks in this past weekend's game.

The had 2 yards rushing in their first game on 20 carries. This past game they improved to just over 60 yards. (Total of 49 Carries for 66 Yards)

They have been throwing for yardage, but in big chunks, not in consistent drives.

We will be able to get to this QB, and we will need to, because I don't see our pass defense getting better this quickly.

It is tough to tell defense based on just stats, but it seems they are vulnerable to the run (Gave up 240 to Moorehead State).

Bringing some meat to the table.

The big question is, will Redd wear RED?

Vince dropped his long sleeves at halftime of the Elon game, and it was like Samson getting a haircut.

He did that so he could "blend" in.
