I think, no I HOPE, we'll see some changes next week both defensively and offensively. Right now, neither are working that well. They have got to figure out the problem with the secondary--the guys are getting burned right up the middle. Offensively, hopefully Zach will get a few more carries and they'll have both him and Rashad in the game at the same time to kick things up a notch. I also think we'll see a little more of Spencer Landis.

I'm a proud alumni who was really excited about this season, and hoping to make it the CCU game this season to cheer the Flames to victory. If LU can't beat teams like Elon, I think I may just save my time and money when CCU comes to Lynchburg and just stay home. I mean forget the playoffs, this team needs to focus on going .500. I'm not trying to be too pessimistic, I'm just looking at this based on how the team has played so far.

I can understand your frustration. I was actually thinking the same thing as I was planning on going to the CCU game too but with our schedule the way it is, being in a weak conference, and with us performing the way we are it is hard to justify the expense and time. Not much to look forward to.

Somebody is gonna have to work extra hard on the pass defense because this kid was throwin all over the place...I mean take out the 4 TDs he threw and we have a game...I mean they did not run for all that much...with a team that throws a lot you gotta lock down on the pass and force them to beat you with the run because by shutting down the passing game you make them one dimensional. that is something that teams exploited against teh Rams...the Rams are a pass heavy team...granted they have a gamebreaker back in Stephen Jackson but the fact of the matter is that they should have locked down on the receivers and TE and said, alright were gonna take you out of your game and FORCE you to beat us with the run.

Our season ended last week when we lost to a bad William and Mary team. Elon is actually good and they may earn their way into the post-season when it's all said and done.

That said, the writing was on the wall when we STRUGGLED against two BAD D-2 teams.
