28 on the front nine on Friday. No biggie.

By the way, did anyone see that he broke the trophy on live tv? The tournament trophy was a golfer swinging a club made of glass or crystal. It must have broken off when he was holding it under his arm during the interview. When it was over, he put the trophy on the stand and then bent over to pick up the busted club and put it next to the trophy. Anybody got some super glue?

saw at least 2 approach shots today, one on the island green (6th?) that he stuck within 2 feet.

200 yds in the air and he stops the ball, LITERALLY, on a dime.

un-freakin' believable.

Yeah, I actually prefer watching on the tougher courses. That said, I think Tiger is probably the best golfer ever. I know the old folks will like to disagree.

actually most of them will agree....at least most of the ones i know....the only thing they argue is that with the advent of newer technology, he has the advantage but i usually dissagree.....he uses blade clubs, his putter is the titlest cameron. his driver is the only thing thats probably much more advanced but they've changed alot of courses because of it...

off the beaten path

i've been trying to transition to the stack and tilt swing.....i'm seeing vast improvements in consistancy with my irons...i like it...

I've been trying to transition to ANY swing that will allow me to advance the ball beyond D*** out length

of course, GMTM's flatulance and unlimited self-awarded mulligans tend to be a bit distracting.

That's because you're still bent on using those Fisher Price plastic clubs. It's probably time to trade up.

The old folks won't disagree that Tiger is the best. They may hold out to see if he maintains his dominance until he breaks Jack's majors record. If he stays healthy, he will likely do it in the 10 years. There is no doubt that he has the drive and the fire to win the most majors ever. It was a goal of his since he was a child. There is no other athlete currently that has his ability to thrive under pressure.

His driving and approaches were pretty ridiculous all day. But yeah, 17 and 18 were just nuts.

He has not placed out of the top 10 in any stroke play competition since the knee surgery. Of the two events that he's won, he's battled back from at least four strokes back on the last day...

There's Tiger... and there's everyone else.

What's sad is his slump is still about 20 strokes better than my BEST day.

what amazes me is that he leaves for a year and comes back and is still the number 1 golfer in the world, if anyone else in any sport were to leave for a year and not do anything but rehab, they would not come back number 1, maybe top 5 but not number 1.

tiger is simply amazing, if he is within 10 strokes on a sunday expect him to win the tournement plain and simple.

i think the PGA should start making him have a 5 stroke handicap first day just to make it fair

What is simply amazing, and I made mention of this before, is that he can make a bad shot and still have a chance to save par, whereas so many other players would be headed for a bogey (or worse). This certainly favors him in two weeks at a US Open course so difficult, that the last time it was played in Major Championship conditions (2002), only one player broke par. Tiger Woods.

He is the greatest at his sport than anyone we have every seen in our lifetime in any sport. He is just so dominate - no one is even close. At least Jordan had a few guys worthy of starting with in AllStar games - If they did that in golf - who would be in his foursome?
