Really its now a question of getting a connection between her brain and her body. It seems that is the only thing missing right now. Her emotional processes seem to be working though because she cried after my mom read her a card she got from a friend of hers from college.

Well my sis is getting an MRI today and the docs will determine where to go with her from there. do pray for a good report and safety in the procedure and continue to pray she comes out of this coma

My sister was watching TV tonight! She still can't talk but this is a definite sign of hope. She also took a few halting steps from her bed to a nearby recliner so that is another good sign.

My sister did worse today. She had a lot of pain and she was suffering all day. the doctors couldn't give her the medication that she had been taking because they weaned her off of it while she was in teh coma and they don't know what kind of effect that could have on her if she suddenly started taking them again. A representative from a threapy facility in Richmond is coming to the hospital to morrow to talk to my mom and dad about a possible course of action. Today was my mom's birthday and this was not something she wanted on this particular day. Do pray for miraculous healing for my sister ort at teh very least that she would not suffer anymore.

GREAT NEWS! My mom just called and she went into my sisters room and she is sitting up on her own, and giggling and laughing and responding to everyone! The only thing she can't do is talk, but MAJOR CRAZY PRAISE!!

Well I talked to my mom this week and my sister is now in Richmond undergoing physical and speech therapy. When I talked to her after she woke up she tried to reply, but something did not quite sound right, so she basically clammed up. Hopefully this time in therapy will help that

Indeed she has. I will miss her a lot over the summer (seeing as we are very close).

as a side note, my dad will be in Chicago as one of his cousins passed away.
