I'd rather him be in against us. I'd like them to try to run as much as possible. His injury would probably discourage that.

Finally got my registration to work, so I can repsond to a few posts in this thread.

First off, all of the outlandish predictions that SuperJon has been quoting are from ill-informed fans from other CAA schools. Every WM fan I have seen knows we are in for a battle on Saturday. The biggest spread any WM fan has predicted is ten points. That was my prediction and one I will reconsider based on the Marriner (TB) injury. He is only a RS freshmen, but has game breaking speed. His absence is big. We are also without two starting receivers, though there is a chance Joe Nicholaus (sprained knee) will play Sat.

Also, you must be desperate for some smack to bring up ticket allotments. Not sure how the Big South works, but two comp tickets for visiting players is standard in the CAA. These tickets are transferable, so players that have more family coming can get extra tickets from players whose parents are unable to attend. WM players on the travel squad are given a choice of two sideline or four endzone tickets for family. Non travel players are alloted two tickets. Ticket-gate is a non-issue IMO.

Should be a great game. I expect a fairly high scoring affair. LU will rack up yards on the ground and WM will rack up yards through the air, whichever defense can come up with the most stops and turnovers will likely win the game. Have safe travels and enjoy your visit to Williamsburg.

I wasn't trying to talk smack about it. I just found it to be very cheap that they did that. Every school we play besides W&M gives at least four tickets per player.

I never once said the scores were W&M fans. I just said that's what they're picking.

Well I guess tickets to CAA football games are just a higher value commodity :D EVERY CAA school gives two tickets per visiting player. Anyway, I doubt its an issue because the tickets are transferable and if some LU players have large family contingents coming to Williamsburg they can get extra tickets from teamates who have no family in attendance.

You'd be surprised. Our families travel very well. Guys also have girlfriends, etc. I've seen guys scrambling for tickets this week.

As long as all the parents and siblings making the trip get free seats I think we have met our obligation as host school. I don't think its realistic to expect girlfriends and second cousins to get into the game for free. Besides, if a family member or girlfriend can afford the gas and meals/lodging for the road trip I doubt the $15 ticket price will keep them from attending the game. I'll leave this one go at that.

The Hall parking lot is the best bet for visiting tailgaters. If you get there fairly early (2-3 hr) there should be plenty of good realestate in the lot. Its about a five to seven minute slow walk from the Hall to Zable, depending on where you are in the lot. Quickest route is to stay left of fraternity row and walk up Harrison Rd, turn right when you hit St. Bede's Catholic Church, stadium will be directly ahead. Green Leafe, Paul's Deli, and Hospitality House all have bars and are located directly across Richmond Road from the stadium. The Cheese Shop in colonial williamsburg (Duke of Gloucester St.) is busy, but has excellent sandwiches. Enjoy.

Are flags allowed in the stadium?

What about cameras? I ask because we video tape some in the game for LOAL.

Sorry SJ, I don't know the official policy on flags or video cameras. My guess is flags are fine within reason and as long as your not obstructing views.

He's pretty much always obstructing views, flag or not, so I think he'll be okay.

Ouch.

They don't care what you bring in. I brought a drum + drumstick(aka big bad weapon) to every game until i "accidentally" broke it vs. UDel.

I sit in the same seats right by an usher and we have had cow bells(once) and a drum(every game) and he said he probably shouldn't allow it, but doesn't care.

Because he is awesome like that.

Some of you new guys are catching on quick. Some of our opponents take weeks to figure out that we're all just a bunch of obnoxious jerks trying to start fights with each other to make the day go quicker. We'll fight about anything (I'm not over stating that either). I still don't think half the PC guys have figured that out.

i like how the CAA thinks its superior to the big schools in only giving out 2 tickets to family.

Looks rain early on Saturday but it should be 75 and mostly clear by game time. Hopefully that forecast sticks through tomorrow.
