I was referring to these blowout scores that some have been predicting like 44-7 or whatever. Might not have been you. I respect William and Mary certainly more than anyone in the Big South due to some of the results of the past and academic excellence. I hope to God that we could someday get to that level of excellence and join a conference like the Colonial but first things first. You have got to earn respect. A win over you guys would go a long way but it won't come easy. But don't be too surprised if we win.

i can see where a W&M fan would think LU is a joke because in the past we were. I'm not saying were going to win, b/c i think it will be close. but, i'm saying that a lot of people are going to be surprised saturday. I'm not necessarily referring to anyone specifically, but W&M fans in general. I thought last year they should have realized that we are not a joke.
as far as rain... bring it on. did it last year, will do it again. i like rain. it'll just make the W&M fans leave and only the die hards of both teams will be left.

I guess that they don't have a clue as to what we have. Coach Rocco will have this team ready to play come Saturday. He knows how important this game is to our development as a football program.

They have been quietly building a team that is now a favorite in the Big South. Will they make the playoffs? Doubtful. Something just tells me though that 1-BS wannabes (as Rev. Falwell stated before he passed) Liberty will make a game of this. But W&M is not to be underestimated and will win this game.

Well, my prediction is based on my abilitys to play as my created LU on my XBOX.

I played once...and lost 38 to 31. So my prediction is WM 38 LU 31. (I can't believe I lost)...

Here was the breakdown by quarter:

W&M 14 3 7 14 Total 38
LU 7 0 17 7 Total 31

LU took the kickoff with a nice return to the 39. Rashaad had some good runs and we scored first. But then the W&M passing was too much for our D and they score...

Brock threw an interception on the next drive, and W&M scored again.

A fumble, but good defensive stand holds W&M to a FG in the 2nd quarter.

W&M also scored on their opening drive of the 3rd quarter...and it looks like the rout might be on...but then Brock gets on target and so does the defense, and we score 2 quick TDs with Winton Jackson...Greenbaugh makes a 51 yard FG as well. And it's tied 24-24.

But a fumble early in the 4th quarter...and failure to convert on 4th and 6th from the W&M 20 late in the game lead to the W&M victory :(

Went there when I went to Williamsburg to cover the LPGA in May. Great sausage and peppers sandwich.

Super, I'm not sure about general admission, but that was the only price they told me. It might be cheaper in the endzone section. Here's a link from the W&M ticket office website: http://www.tribeathletics.com/files/fb/ ... mation.htm
It looks like prices range from $10 to $23, but the cheaper tickets are for "youth."

The $23 price is for sideline seats. If you got tix from the LU ticket office, they've probably reserved a special section for our fans I'd think.

Thanks for the link....The Statistical Breakdown looks pretty frightening. On paper, they look better than us in every aspect of the game. I really hope our offense steps up big time.

On a side note, talking to players, etc, W&M only gave us enough tickets for the players to get two a piece. Every other school gives the players at least four tickets per player. What does that mean? It means that Player A's family driving in from Ohio, Florida, PA, Georgia, etc will have to pay $46 extra than they expected to, and in a lot of cases to a lot of families, that's a ton of money. W&M - doing their part to keep players' families away from games each and every week.

I was looking at the preview for the game and something caught my eye, and maybe it can be easily discarded but weve been harping on WM's rush defense, and how easy it has been to run the ball, and sometimes over look the pass defense bc they only gave up 228 in two games. Everybody knows VMI doesnt pass so this isnt a surprise.

What gets me is that Delaware went 19 of 23 passing. Does WM have that many holes on D or is it bc of how they had to play being so bad against the run?

You're right. There's no way we could understand that.

Note: If registration was working on the CAA boards, I'd have posted that reply there. It looks like something in their database is hosed. I emailed the board admin. Good luck with that.
