Camping in Lynchburg?

Strange question, I know, but are there any campgrounds around Lynchburg? I know about Holiday Lake and Paridise Lake Park in Appomattox, but are there any closer to the Burg? Thanks.

I cant come up with anything...Smith Mtn Lake is about the same distance...but the place in Appo (yellowstone or something like that?) is only 20 minutes away

Peaks of Otter State Park is about 30 minutes away...but thats all I know of.

01LuGrad, I'm glad you asked. Paradise Lake Campground is one of Lynchburg's best kept secrets. It's literally only about 8 miles from campus heading east on 460 in Concord:
