I just want to say for the record that:
I love all of you guys!
Sam was the best!
Eugune was the best!
Dre was the best!
Zach is the best!
Rashad is the best!
Everyone else mentioned on this thread is the best!

Can't we all just get along?
Now good night, idiots!

It's all in fun as far as I'm concerned and never personal on this end. I enjoy the exchange.

My take on Jennings after watching him in the Towson game is that he takes whatever the offensive line gives him. He is big and not real fast so if the offensive line does an effective job upfront then he can outrun some linebackers and shed some tackles at the line due to his size and strength. In the Towson game he was being gang tackled by 4 or 5 guys sometimes due to Towson's 8 in the box and keying on him. Either the blocking in that particular game was not there (due to missed assignments or poor blocking schemes) or LU "went to the well too many times" and didn't use our other resourses like Zach or the receivers (too many dropped balls). Maybe at that time Coach Rocco didn't have faith in the passing game. If our blocking is there Rashaad should flourish in his role.

As far as Dre, Eugene, and Sam I think that they were all talented running backs but it is a shame that the team's performance was so lousy due to poor QB play and subpar offensive lines, and poor defense. Certainly these fine running backs would have gotten more recognition if the team performed better and our attendence was satisfactory.

Rashad's not fast? He runs a 4.5.

Steve was probably refering to his running style. He may be a fast sprinter but in the game, you might call it "patience", lack of spurtability, whatever. He seems to run with more power. At least that's how it's always looked to me.

I am sure that when Rashaad is in the open field he is fast but in the Towson game he never got the chance to show that speed since he was tackled at the line. I never knew that he had 4.5 speed. That is great for his size.

If he meant that, then alright. However, once he breaks away, he's much harder to catch up with than Zach.

In order to be successful, he's going to have to hit the holes quicker, work on his footwork, and develope better cutback skills. Otherwise, he going to continue to struggle against the stronger defenses.

Yea, become Jerome Bettis was such a great cut-back runner. He's a downhill runner. He's not the same style as Zach. Towson's defense was good. We didn't block good that game, and we ran up the middle every time. We didn't change it up, and our receivers let us down so they just packed it in. Everything can't be based on the Towson game last year.

There's no denying that Jennings possesses the most upside among the two. Once he demonstrates that further with a higher level of success in the bigger games, he'll be well on his way to becoming something special.

Rashad only has 4.5 speed, i was thinking he was a bit quicker than that, however that is great for his size...........

Most running backs don't run much less than 4.5.

Shoot, I have 3.12 speed....... in 5 yds.

Look they are different runners so stop comparing apples and oranges.

It will be a huge plus for us if we can successfully run a player of his size and speed between the tackes. That's exactly what Rocco's game plan was against Towson. Unfortunately, Rashad hesitated and didn't hit the holes quickly enough. It seemed to be a recurring problem throughout the season against the better defenses. This is a mental aspect of the game that can be corrected.

Our Offensive line looks to be better, bigger, and more experienced than last year. That should solve most of the problem this year and we look to be more unpredictable on offense this year with Brock Smith hopefully coming into his own.

I think Rashad should show growth this year as far as hitting the hole and therefore more productive.

Rashad's running style reminds me more of a Jamal Lewis after the 2000 yd year. He does alot of stutter stepping, and although he can fall foward and pick up a couple extra yards, hes gotta be in those holes quicker, and not do too much thinking. If he can do that hell be alot better against the tough defenses

Based on what I saw it wasn't Jennings not hitting the holes but more of a slow exchange from Brock to Jenning in the handoff. It seemed like it took too long and the defense picked up on it early enough to swarm to the ballcarrier. But I do see your point.

Hopefully Rashad will be ready for W&M because we will need him in that game and going forward. I'm just hoping this suspension won't set us back and cost us down the road.

Eugene is a great running back I hope he makes it to the NFL someday but for him to have even resumed his career was a miracle from GOD...the thing is be almost actually died from that injury because of severe blood poisoning and other complications..this was told to me by a current LU Coach..so all of those RB's are and where great players I dont know if LU will see a group like that again...add in Chase Andrews who was a great RB too but I think he left the program early
