Just like they were going 16-0 this past season. You're right, why even bother playing.

We have a good chance next season. Just think, if Brewington plays the one or two and Larry the other. Doug at the three instead of the four, and Armon Jones and Rell Porter in the frontcourt. That is a good lineup with scoring options at the 1,2, and 3. Don't forget, run Smith instead of Doug, and you still have another scorer. Doug is a key player, not a role player. There has to be plays set for him to get the ball or his motivation is gone. Larry is going to be Larry, and Brewington is a scorer. Are basic priorities should be rebounding, running our plays, and playing defense. We have a legetimate chance, it comes down to how players respond to the coach.

I think Anthony will be starting instead of Doug based on his defense, but I agree with your premise. Just having some depth will be a blessing.

Once we get Brew & Alex on the floor we are going to be exponentially stronger this next season. The Christmas break can't get here quick enough.

Alex looks weak even though he can stuff it in the basket. I really like Armon Jones, we got a steal with him. He is tough, and he bangs on the boards. i don't know how we pulled it off, I saw him go against Oak Hill this season and he played great.

I know some of you guys want to see Big Russel Monroe redshirt this season, but I just think we need to get rid of the last 5 guys on the becnh. The assistant coach's son, Corning, Alston, Shorty, Eck. These guys are terrible. they don't deserve to be on a D-II roster much less D-I

Doug, Eck are not playing next year, and it's still pretty early to see who else wont be suiting up but there will quite a few others

Should be a title year and maybe something even more with the right coach. With games at the Paradise Jam and a rumored 2for1 with South Carolina, pretty good schedule shaping up as well. I can tell you that most if not all fans I know are pushing hard for the administration to do whatever it takes to bring Gregg back to CofC.
Winthrop is returning two of the top 100 pro prospects in the country in T Mart and Craig Bradshaw, one of the best and most experienced point guards in the nation in Chris Gaynor, while also bringing in a huge recruiting class boasting the transfer of a JUCO All American and one of SC's top high school recruits. Following the departure of Bham Southern and projected down years for most other Big South teams, Winthrop can pretty much moonwalk blindfolded into the Big Dance this year. Oh and the Paradise Jam is cute. been there, done that. we're in the preseason NIT. Not to mention the fact that when we get back from the NIT, we'll be playing in the best faciilites in the conference in front a crowd that loves its team and its coach. unless you've got the dollars to pull Gregg away, your little team resume is not going to impress him much.
forget about Jerry and co making the best Kool-Aid in the world, whatever they are selling down there in Rock Hill is DEFINITELY the best stuff going. Cheech Marin undoubtedly has had a hand in brewing it.

Best facilities? Come on now.

I guess it is just messageboard talk. Let's just hope the team has the same mindset.

Winthrop's gym is awesome. I can see where they can say best facilities. Other than that, they're allowed to talk. They've earned that right.

They're allowed to say they can moonwalk blindfolded to the tournament? Last I checked the team that was going undefeated in league play last year, obviously didn't. Not only that but they lost to, at the time, the last place team in the league, who finished up 2nd to last. There's no easy game in this league.

I agree the moonwalking blindfolded thing was over the top. That was a big stretch.
