Germany Edges McNaney, Team USA in Thorpe Cup Heptathlon

For the second-consecutive year, the U.S. versus Germany heptathlon challenge, this year labeled the Thorpe Cup, featured a comeback victory. This time around, the results did not favor the American squad, which included 2005 Liberty graduate Danielle McNaney.

The team was limited to a partial squad, and we (team USA) were at a bit of a disavantage seeings as one of our four athletes DQ'd in one event, and another pulled out due to injury.

Point being- congrats to Dani on STILL excelling at the highest level in her sport.
