There is a rumble again of how Boise State gets no respect, but do they really deserve it? I'm sure a few of you on here can help me, but can't they schedule a little better OOC games???

08/30 Weber St 9:00 PM
09/08 at Washington 3:30 PM
09/15 Wyoming 8:00 PM
09/27 So Miss 7:30 PM
10/07 New Mexico St 8:00 PM
10/14 Nevada 8:00 PM
10/20 at La Tech 7:00 PM
10/26 at Fresno St 9:00 PM
11/03 San Jose St 3:00 PM
11/10 at Utah St 3:05 PM
11/17 Idaho 3:00 PM
11/23 at #23 Hawaii 9:05 PM

One ranked team is all they could muster? On top of that the team is in their conference. Weber St, Washington, Wyoming and So Miss is all they could get for OOC games?? IMO if they get another BCS game with that schedule, it will be a shame. If you are good enough to be a top 10 team, you should be required to at least play one IMO. Even two top 25 teams would at least make it reasonable. What do you think?

The thing to remember is a lot of BCS schools are scared to play them. If they'd even play them, they wouldn't go to Boise. The school's gotta make money somehow.

I just find it hard to believe they couldn't find just one additional top 25 team to play in their OOC schedule. With scheduling done at least 2 years in advance, it can be difficult to schedule a top 25 team. I just think they are pretty satisfied with their current schedule. Going undefeated (or one loss) each year and complaining about getting no respect seems to be their plan. They are getting attention, so it is working. Beating Oklahoma last year was a big boost to the program, I just wish they would take another step for a better regular season schedule. Until they do, they will not get much respect from the polls.

Obviously, that bowl win was huge, but don't forget what happened when Boise traveled to play a regular season game at UGA a couple years ago (with that same qb who beat OU in the BCS game)., That game got very ugly. I believe they lost by a final margin of around 35 points. I realize that was a different season, but it was esentially the same team and i'm sure that regular season setback left a bad taste in their mouth. They probably figure that they've developed a decent reputation and they'll just pile up the easy reg. season wins again and take their shot at a legit team once they get to another big bowl game. That's the only decent explanation I can think of. As much as I like pulling for the underdog, I think that OU wins that game 9 times out of 10 (unless the players are too "busy" selling cars back in Norman 8) and Boise just got them on the right night.
