From a Hampton Roads fishwrap (it includes some great quotes from the kids about the new staff):
Give me Liberty, two PD players say
Denbigh'’s Christopher McDougal and Bethel’'s Kizuku Scott decide to play baseball for Liberty University.

Two of the Peninsula District's top baseball players will be teammates in college.

Denbigh rising senior Christopher McDougal, who played third base, caught and pitched as the Patriots won the Eastern Region championship last season, and first-team Daily Press All-Star shortstop Kizuku Scott, a rising senior at Bethel, have committed to Liberty University.

This is a good quote...I've been touting this all along...the LU atmosphere on the "ground level,"
so-to-speak, sells itself.

With a few more minor rule adjustments, (and I know I'm going to be misunderstood on this next bit but...) a bit of a reprieve from the "spiritualese" oversaturation (again, not advocating abandoning the mission statement of the school, just noting the overspiritualization tendency that pops up on-campus from time to time), many more will echo this guys statement below...pretty nice to see LU chosen over William & Mary with its academic reputation and beautiful campus.

"I went up there for a visit, and I just fell in love with it," said McDougal, who also visited William and Mary and had planned a trip to Radford before choosing Liberty. "I fell in love with the coaches. I'd heard great things about the coaches. It was an offer I just couldn't turn down."
"First off, it was a Christian school. That really caught my eye," Scott said. "It had a nice program. I just liked the atmosphere about the school.... I knew it was going to be a great program in a couple of years, and I wanted to be a part of it."

I chose LU over W&M...but that was a $$$ issue, lol.

Anyway, its good to see Toman recruiting in the eastern part of the state...a lot of good baseball is played out there.

There's a reason Toman is regarded as the best recruiter in the country.
