The gap in between the 2nd and 3rd one looks funny. But I guess people need to get down the stairs. One more suite on each side would have made it normal looking. I'm sure they would have if they had them sold.

The stadium looks fantastic. I really like the new premium seats. The boxes actually look pretty cool up there as well. Amazing how Mr. Barber and crew are moving this thing forward.

The difference a year makes huh?

Is it just me or do the skirts look more purple than blue?

I will live on this site now that football season is here! It's addictive. Very excited about the upcoming season. It's great to see the school finally put the focus on football again!

I think the tents make it look a little JV. I understand why they are there, but maybe they could be pulled for clear night games? I dunno. Cool upgrade, just could look a little better, imo.

These are temporary. If you've ever been in a luxury suite at a PGA Tour event you know exactly what we have working. For the three day games the coverings will probably be appreciated.

If these suites are a hit with those that matter they will certainly help push forward our bigtime plans for the stadium.

01, as Sly said, they're identical to the ones used at PGA events. And, to take a little more "JV" tarnish off them for you, NC State used the exact same suites, tents and all, before they finished their towers. That doesn't mean you have to like em, but at least you can know maybe the rest of the world won't think they're too JV.

I like the tents - they add a little more height, making the stadium look bigger. I could totally tailgate up there during pre-game warm-ups. :!:

Again, I really like the suites. I just don't like the tents. If they were used at Notre Dame Stadium, I would say the same thing. (Big ND fan here. :brownbag )

I look forward to the stadium expansion, whenever that will be. I don't think my teacher's salary will be able to back a seat in a permanent box, but one can dream, right?

And it appears everything is now in place for the fall.
Luxury Suite Installation Complete: More Williams Stadium Upgrades Continue

August 18, 2007
Lynchburg, Va.

The Liberty Athletics Department is proud to announce the completion of the installation process for the six luxury suites located on the west concourse at Williams Stadium.

The final touches were all internal, including hooking electricity, water and DIRECTV in each suite. To finish the installation, a cleaning crew went through each suite to make sure everything was in pristine condition.

I drove through Lynchburg with the Mrs. this weekend and we made a quick stop on campus. I stand corrected with the suites. They look great in person. The pictures don't do them justice.

Also, there just seems to be an exciting atmosphere around campus. (maybe that was just the hormones of the new freshman...)

I know this is a minor thing, but I noticed the other night how little room there is right next to the concession stand because of the suits....that is going to cause some issues...I love the suites and the look of them....but they are very close to the concessions area...just an observation

Dang it. I told myself when I drove by there today, "Post about concession stand on FlameFans" and then forgot. Good job remembering.
