Sportscenter presented this last night and I actually think it could be a fun debate.


Which happens first: Tiger winning 18 majors or A-Rod breaking the all-time home run record?

tiger barely missed winning the masters and us open this year. two majors a year is very possible with eldrick.

tiger....no brainer...a-rod is at least 5 years away...tiger will win 7-8 majors in the next 5 years if you ask me...

Another vote for Tiger, although I think it will be close. One thing to consider is that Bonds plans on playing through 08, and has already shown signs that he can put up some numbers now that the pressure of breaking the record is off. If he doesn't get injured, I expect him to put the record out there around 800, which would mean even if A-Rod hit 50 a year (which he could) it would take 6 years. Tiger has averaged 1.3 majors per year so far, but that included the "Tiger slam", when he won 4 in a row, and I don't think he'll do that again. I think he can average 1 a year and get there a year or 2 before A-Rod.
