Chris,

I think that there were 5 dropped ball in that Towson game and 2 would be touchdowns. One to Jackson in the back of the endzone and the 40 yrd strike to Boulden in the first half that was dropped.

I'm not even sure if Catterton is here, to be honest.

He was supposed to walk on but maybe he changed his mind

He was offered a spot to walk on, but I'm not sure if he took it. They haven't updated the rosters since practice started. I'll probably go out there tomorrow, so I'll ask about him then.

Thank you Chris. I would be interest to know but not a real big deal right now since I think we should be much improved in the secondary with what we currently have. I was hoping for a defensive lineman to transfer down but it doesn't look like that will happen this year. I am a little concerned about that position since Chris Johnson will be a "no show"

Catterton isn't here.

Brock Smith had mono during spring ball before last season. He was coming into a new system raw last year. Once Brock got comfortable with the system, he excelled.

Ryan Best and Zach Davis probably won't start this year. If Tyler Tipton was eligible, I don't even know if he'd start or not. Rashad wasn't even our best running back last year and he was a transfer. Transfers aren't everything.

I didn't know Tyler Tipton was here. Good to know that for next year since we are loosing 3 seniors at that position.

Ounce we get our program to the next level (Playoff contention every year) we shouldn't need that many transfers to restock the program that is if our recruiting is where it should be.

We have the most talented team in the conference. We had the 2nd most talented team in the conference (behind Coastal) in the 1-10 year, we just had an absolutely horrible coach (that's an understatement). Talent hasn't been the problem with Liberty football. The problem has been turning raw talent and potential into good football players and teaching them how to win. The blowout of Western Carolina, a team that had been ranked earlier in the season, and then the rout of Chuck South, a team that was undefeated and ranked, taught our team what it was to win.

I think Brock will have a really good here. He has all the potential to be all-conference, it's just a matter of his confidence, and consistency. I think it will be there this year.

As a non sequitur side note, I wouldn't mind seeing that woven into the fabric of 'future' LU Football fan lore...the whole Red Sea moniker concept.

But if memory serves, wasn't the Red Sea tamed, at least for awhile when God's Chosen crossed it?

Sure, Red Sea parted, good guys in-between. Kinda like our over-grown high school set-up stadium with red shirts on both sides and the good guys in blue on the field. Yeah, that works.

Right. Work those metaphors. I'm sure you're being sarcastic with that overgrown high school set-up stadium comment, cause the last time I was up there (10? years ago) it was nice. If you were referring to our stadium and facilities, now there's another story....just don't have the funds and alum base that LU or Coastal has.

What's the weather up there for practice? People in SC have been cancelling or postponing practices for the past week.

Clemson I heard was cancelled; Furman's practice moved to later in the evening due to temps of 105 in that part of the state. CSU didn't cancel or move nothin'.

I stood out there Sunday afternoon like a fool.

we're expecting major stadium improvements/renovations in the coming years.

it really IS basically a HS set-up. 2 sets of concrete bleachers that go straight up, not much in the way of aesthetics, VERY basic press facilities, little in the way of food concessions.

not that they haven't put a TON of effort into improvements lately, but there is a ways to go yet.

the suites will be a nice start.

I understood the fieldhouse/locker/training facilities were really impressive?

From what I heard, it made our guys really depressed. Not to mention the shellacking and all.

absolutely. the field itself and the Op Ctr are first rate.

very very good, both of them.

stadium itself will get there in time- years of failure don't inspire huge building projects- but we're turning the corner.

thanks though

I agree with everything Medic has said.

And yes, I'm phrasing it that way just so he can quote it at some point down the road.
