I still have BJ down as the number 1 homer here on FF, but, boy logic recently is really giving him a run for his money.

No he's not. I agree with 99% of what he says. It has just become the cool thing to beat up on him. Keep preaching logic.

What in the world guys? Logic said nothing bad there... Maryland is struggling (They are), Liberty is a great opportunity (We are). Why did you guys jump on him about that? Makes no sense. BJ - really? I'm not sure you are the best judge of post quality...

Sounds like Barber wasnt afraid to back the Brinks truck up to Coach Toman's office with his last deal so I do agree the resources are certainly in place to make money not an issue compared to a lot of programs (except maybe the elite 10-20)

Then why does logic need to just shut up?

I just have tired of his sounding like he is poo-pooing just about any other school relative to Liberty (emphasis added).

Logic, every single word of what you said is correct. Well, done.

I dont know why its a surprise that maryland offered less. Maybe this will open Tomans eyes a bit and some of the posters that think jobs are automatically better because of conference affiliation

Then he should be removed. Its not fair to the university that is paying him so well and pumping millions into the program.

Can you fault him? There are some baseball coaches out there making 300, 400, 500k a year. What some of you consider "well paid" is a drop in the bucket at top programs. We say we want a top 25 athletics department, but are we willing to pay top 25 salaries? Can you have one without the other?

You are the king of stats. What exactly are the salaries of the Top 25 baseball coaches and where do we fall?

Well here are two "right off the bat"

Texas HC the highest paid at 950,000. That is Texas obviously and an extreme outlier, but it goes to show what Texas is willing to pay. Gilmore is making 202,000+ at Coastal. Pretty good considering it's Coastal.

This could take me a while but as long as it is a state school I could find the salaries for top 25 programs.

Here are the SEC salaries -

Tennessee head coach with a losing record in the SEC pulling 295,000. Not a bad way to lose baseball games.

This is what 124 million in athletic revenue will do for you. For example they're paying their head women's tennis coach 155k, their women's, just women's track coach 275k. That is a new level.
That's women's track coach also has been the US Olympic coach for some time. When you land an Olympic sports gig at Texas, you've reached the pinnacle of collegiate compensation for your profession.
