What does everyone think of this kid Kyle. I've seen him play a bunch last year and I really think he can contribute as a shooter, something this team is sorely lacking. Everytime I see him in the game he seems to be doing something positive. What do you guys think??

I know coach likes him a lot...Smooth and I were talking at the game, he does a lot of things pretty darn good...but being a Freshman will show at times, and thats alrite...heck we got some Jr's making Freshman mistakes at time so at least he'll actually have an excuse

I think hes a great player and a great addition. He makes everyone around him better by playing with them. He does everything right and its nice to see someone who is always hustling. Might have a little attitude that needs to change so he stays humble and works hard, but the kid is a STUD

How do you guys know he has a "hot head" or that he's clutch?? Not questioning you, just wondering where this info is coming from.

Have to disagree with that Wake. Shooting in the Dean dome or Madison Square garden is tougher than shooting in the LaHaye center for a lot of different reasons not the least of which is depth perception. I have shot in big time environments vs big time competition and I have shot against PAMedic's Plumstead Christian school and I can say that there is a difference. Not everyone can do both. I think Kyle can shoot and help this team though because I have seen him in practice vs division 1 players. Remember too that he is very young and playing with and against division 1 players every day will help him get better. Ask Jason Allison how good he got playing against Marcus White and Larry Jackson everyday (and against Coach SCAR  )

I think he's a solid rotational player. I think he'll be great at giving Smith or Blair a breather here and there and could provice some offense off the bench.

Not a world beater but certaintly a solid find by Dunton and Co.

I think there was a thinly veiled insult there. But its the holiday season , so I'll let it go.

That, and we've all seen SCAR play (or: attempt to play) lately so I'll take pity on the elderly and/or differently enabled (aka: "handi-capable") and give him a pass.

no doubt his Alzheimers is kicking in. Someone give MrsSCAR a contact number for The Scooter Store.

I think Kyle will be a fan favorite, like most walk-ons are (Riber, etc.). These guys didn't play much until the fourth quarter when it was time to rest the starters, but he is a hustler and he will always hustle because he knows he will play a limited amount.

Wake, I am hoping that you realize the fantasy of that statement and remove it. There is a HUGE difference. On just a basic level, where you may have 2 or 3 feet to get your shot off in HS you will maybe have 1 foot in college, and less than that the higher up the level you go. ANYONE can be a "drive way all american". but the speed and tempo of the game is vastly different. Heck, ScAR looks all world (and not just waistline) when he is playing with the older fella's.

I used to look all world when playing the old guys but now I look like one of the old guys. I am working hard to get my game back to some kind of respectability. Just remember the camera adds 50 lbs. Is that math correct? yes I think so, 50 lbs.

Ask Jeremy Monceaux that same question...or a host of other guys that put up 40% 3-point shooting in high school and struggle shooting over 20 or 25% in college...

Easy on the Lee bashing. He's a good man and did nothing to embarass the school. He's earned a scholie at another school and we wish him nothing but the best.

Great point, you can even take a look back a few years ago when Jason Conley for VMI was the nation's leading scorer and then transferred to Missouri... not that Jason played bad but he didn't have nearly the same amount of success in the Big 12...And that's just one of many that I could share

That was a low blow to lee who is a very good young man. No, he's not a d-1 baller, but he is a great man of integrity.

I wasn't talking about Lee's integrity. I was talking about him as a basketball player. My point was that I am glad the end of the bench from last season is gone. It seems like too many guys on this board take every criticism personal. I don't know Lee. I was just saying that Lee had no business being on the team last year. That's great for him if he is playing else where.

How do you say he had ano business on the team? Did u see him contriute to the team in practice? Did you see any of the other things he did for the team? Being part of a team is knowing your role. Although he didnt get min. and I'll go as far to say as everyone who was playing was better than him, but he knew his role and was doing what he needed to to make players better. So keep "holding your own in the Lahaye"

Excellent point, TBGBG.

Watching the team practice and seeing what Andrew Denton does for these big men, you wouldn't believe it. He doesn't back down from any of them. Lee may have done the same.

I don't think they shoudl be compared....Last year's team won 7 games. Lee obviously didn't help the team too much..

no, I am not an expert....but you can't claim he helped a team that did as poorly as us. I like Lee, he is a very nice guy...It is just a bad statement to say he helped. maybe "participated with the team" instead of "helped the team" would have been better.
