The ONLY situations in which a replay can be used are:
1. Free Throws
2. Scoring
3. Timing
4. Determination if a flagrant foul occurred.
The officials shall NOT use the replay to determine:
1. Who committed a foul or whether a foul occurred (exception flagrant)
2. Basket interference or goaltending.
3. A violation (ie. Out of Bounds)
4. Whether the ball was released before the sounding of the shot clock.
This is where fans can get frustrated....because Billy Packer or Dickie V give them wrong information during broadcasts & then when it happens, every one goes nuts. I HATE when broadcasters screw up the rules interpretation.
I was told that they did review that play.......checking for timing issues & the possibility of a flagrant foul. But again, I wasn't there.....didn't see it....so I can't say for sure.
