Except that extra has already been given away. Maybe we can give another scholly to Dale and get Tim as a bonus.

Ill say this. Alot of people on my dorm thought Seth quit the team when it was Brolin. The student body could really be told anything and it would become fact.
Maybe that's why the students quit too.

I hate rumors like this. They make me nervous, mad, and skeptical. I hope it isn't true and doubt seriously it is!

I think we would be fine next year without Seth.

Just sayin'.

Just an observation on the game now that I'm somewhat recovered from my depression over the second half.

I'm glad I went and got to see Anthony's final game in an LU uni, and happy he played well.

I'm not sure there is a lot you can do when a 6'7" player like Swanston goes off from 3 like he did. We had a hand in his face on most of those shots.

The first half was a lot of fun to watch. I really thought it was going to be a down to the wire affair. I totally agree that the game turned in a matter of just a couple of minutes when we turned the ball over on something like 4 of 6 posessions and JMU capitalized with 3s. It was the turnovers that really killed us, and yes I thought there were some fouls that should have been called on JMU, but the officials did not cost us the game by any means. I also was surprised and somewhat disappointed that we didn't respond better after JMU had that run.

As a note...

This is NOT a knock on Seth. This is just me saying that I think our team will be good without Seth, just as it would be good with him.

I assume you mean without, and I think we could win 20 without Seth.

Without Jesse, however, we'd be in trouble.

Seth isn't the whole team. Sure he's a great player and draws doubles, but he also is not the only good player on this team. Just because we are 'Seth Curry and Liberty' does not mean that we have to have him... That being said, I don't think we'll have to see this team Seth-less, but if we do, I think we'll be fine.

Teams have shown again and again that we can be shut down by guarding only 3 guys. I imagine if one of those 3 wasn't around it would be hopeless.

I really think our scoring will be better distributed next year LUconn. Although Minaya will probably start in place of Smitty, I don't see it as a straight-up replacement. I expect Anthony's productivity to be replaced by a committee of players, including Jeremy and Carter as well as increased output from Jesse, Austin and Tyler. My #1 prediction for next season is that Jesse Sanders will become more of a scoring threat. I think we saw signs of it last night.

It's true that they focus on three guys, but one guy in particular is drawing most of the attention. When he scores 20, we usually win. When he's held in check, we usually lose. There's really no question about that. When Seth gets freed up, it puts the opposing defense on its heels.

Having said that, you're right, we were thin as far as scorers go this year. But, McKay looks to improve on that next year.

Personally I think it would be a tragic mistake if Seth transfered, I'm sure ya'll have recruits coming in that will help him out. But I mean...8 points? Devon Moore is a good defender, but he is also a freshman...he shouldn't be able to hold Seth to 8 points the entire game.

You ever taken into account him being tired? What about being sick? What about just having a bad night? All of that plays into it. Not to mention the kid from JMU probably thought he had something to prove going against Seth. It was one bad game. Yeah, it happened in a terrible spot, but bad games happen.

Devon Moore is unlike any defender he's seen...to have the quickness and length is uncommon in the big south...and you guys have a few that are like that...I'd LOVE to have a few players like 1 and 40

Pretty lame excuses, IMO.

Especially when most of his games lately have been like this one.

Why do you think that is? Could it be because he's done trying to prove himself b/c he's already proved himself enough to receive other offers?

I'm starting to think I'm a paranoid person...

Nah, I just think he hit a freshman wall and fell off at the end of the year, teamed with teams getting tape on him.

Still, it's not an excuse. It's an issue he needs to deal with and learn from. Not pass it off as a bad night, when he's been going 6 for 20 for 2 months.

Yes- the tired excuse is hard to account for.. you have an 18/19 year old kid who has played 2 whole games the past 3 weeks??? Conference tourney maybe... But when you look at a guy like Johnny Flynn playing all those minutes in the Big East tourney- then he's still pouring it on in the NCAA's without the let down- then you have to question whether he's the same caliber kid you thought he was... Of course, that's not going to be the popular opinion here, but oh well!!

Like I said in another thread, I see Seth struggling big time next year if he doesn't get any help- VMI exposed him big time & Seth hasn't really been the same ever since..

That happens when a player loses their legs. He's had 2 and 3 guys on him every game for three months. He has to work harder than any player on the floor just to touch the ball.

I'm not saying he played bad because he was tired. I'm not saying it's cause he was sick. I'm saying that could go into it. I don't know if he's tired or if he's sick or what. All I know is he had a bad game. That happens. It happened to Anthony a few times earlier this season. It happens to every player. Unfortunately for us, it happened in one of the biggest games of the year.

what did they expose? double teaming him? I think that's more of an exposing of the rest of the team.

When was Seth's last "good" game?

He has been off for a while now.

Not knocking him, just observing. I love Seth, think he's an excellent player. But he has been off his game for a while now. He needs to figure out what it is that's wrong and fix it.

What was that one stretch he went through like something for 72 at only like 30%? You guys follow the numbers better then I do so I'm sure you'll correct me :P (but see, I'm prefacing it with, "I DONT KNOW")

He did look kinda tired in warm-ups, i got there pretty early and he was missing close shots and he even missed some lay-ups. Of course he wasn't trying hard but still
