It looked like it was part of an in-game promotion. It's a good thing she said yes.

New low for this pathetic program. This is the worst of the worst in all sports in the big south. Utter embarassment. Meanwhile layer trots his son out there for more minutes each night. Laughing stock.

"Timeout Dale Layer with 1 second left. Down by 6."

Well, if you have it, why not burn it?!

At least DL stayed for the entire game. Although not sure why you DONT call a TO with 28 seconds left but DO call one with 1.0 left

She was my sister's RA a few years ago, nice girl. Her brother is actually Calvin Hoffman.

According to the TV announcers, it was Longwood's first win @ Liberty since 1988, which would have been pre-Vines Center in the Schilling Building.

March 5th can't get here soon enough. This program is a joke and I hope Barber has a good list. He can't screw up this hire. His first call should be to Atlas Van Lines to clear out those offices. Getting swept by Longwood in any sport is just sad. Back to my ACC bubble.

Do you have stock in atlas van lines? I feel like the only time you come around you mention them. Haha

Seriously though this is pathetic.

Speaking of not coming around often what happened to Rooster? He was all about it 2 games ago, now he's vanished. Talk about a short trip on the band wagon

I don't like leaving games early, but the team has stopped caring so why should I continue to care. There's 4 baseball games, with a double header on Saturday, at home next weekend so we can all look forward to that.

I watched the stream of the game. I saw a Liberty team that got beat, but I did not see a Liberty team that gave up.

They are the best we've had all year. Makes you appreciate SCAR that much more since he had to do it for 3 years
I don't think it was THIS bad the past 3 years. I'm just glad I am in downtown Philadelphia getting ready to call an Atlantic 10 game at LaSalle tomorrow night. American Sports Network was kind enough to let me stay in a plush hotel and come up an extra day early. Liberty and the Big South shutting me out was the best thing that ever happened to my career. Otherwise it would have been likely that I would have been sent to call this game. Glad I got rescued from perhaps the lowest point in Liberty Athletics history! Embarrassing!!!!

DL makes a solid 'point' about having '26 points sitting on the Ben h or in Denmark'. It would hold more water if the team was hovering around .500 He also doesn't bring up the number of TO's etc not there either.
But that is why I would not be surprised if he gets another year. With Gielo and T Johnson coming back that's a nice pair to have. LU regardless of who coaches won't be this bad next year
Secondly, I think Drew played one of his better games last night and also showed why he hasn't become a better player. For example, he took a 10' shot from the lane last night with the absolute worst form I have ever seen from a D1 player. He did knock down some mid range jumpers which was good. But the point was made, and I agre, that you have a kid who should be the 7 or 8 man coming off the bench providing energy etc thrust into the main roll. Therefore, I will give him more slack. But let it be an object lesson to players on the bench 'Work on your game because you never know when your chance will come'

Kidding, I know you're sarcastic.
Some may say the 2 plus hours shoveling snow for someone in my shape can leave one delusional. But ATrain is correct. I'm serious on this one. This could be our last victory this year.
Im not going to say you were wrong.... but yea.

Haize my reaction to those DL comments is everyone is banged up this time of year. We, Longwood, had a 20 and 10 guy out as well. PC didn't have Downing when yall played them if I remember correctly. Losing Gielo is terrible but that's just kind of weak.

Before those guys got hurt, we were not ranked in the Top 25, and closer to home, we were not beating up on anyone, other than a couple non-D1 teams.

Truth. Everyone has to deal with it. You recruit a little better, it doesnt hurt as much. At the end of the day, completely healthy, we MIGHT have two more conference wins, and Im being nice.
