We can't guard three land to save our lives. if a team gets hot we will get smoked every time. and what the heck is up with JA? and I vote to bench kyle and start buress and konen with jesse, gordon and perez.

First off, let me say that I appreciate the 15 points and 9 rebounds. That's great point and rebound production. Only two fouls is much better than Sunday night.

However, seven turnovers is too much. Shooting under 30% is not good enough.

I will give credit where it is do and say great job on the 15 and 9. However, I will be critical of the part that need works.

We need Jesse to get up to about 10 points a night. He had 7 tonight. I think he can get up to ten for conference play.

Burrnan got 12 and 5 and 40 minutes. That's pretty good production?

Did Carter play bad? Did the matchup not work for him? Did he get hurt?

It's really nice to see some production out of Johnny. Ten free throws? Way to get the other team in foul trouble. Good about of rebounds too.

David only played seven minutes. Was that because of production? Was it because of something else?

We kept it respectable. I can't say too much from only looking at stats. Hopefully we can pick up a win this weekend.

Go back where you came from and whine to Buffalo Bob and Claribel Howdy. You can't expect this young team to beat Big 10 opponents on the road. I think we made some progress tonight.

Well LUconn as you know Jon's days giving analysis are pretty much over but i'd be glad to humor you.
The great swami see's some bright spots every once and a new moon. Carter I wish i was birdman McMasters needed to step up his game today and couldn't deliver. we came out cold and BOOM got popped in the mouth worse than richard hitting his brother in the mouth with a 2x4 in Tommy boy. (rest in peace Chris Farely) The new kids on the block produced but not enough to write home to mom about. Kyle please bench me Ohman was miserable in TO's although he did rebound well. Paging Jeremy frodo Anderson your presence is requested at the three point line. thanks. Overall the flames resembled 57 cent lighters you get at the gas station more than the Flames we've all been used to seeing. It might turn out to be a long season folks but we'll try to find humor if conference season goes south. I have a feeling it will turn around. These Big boys are no easy match up and could prove to be just the beating these young flames need to ignite the fire of competition under their butts. A wise man once said you aren't a fighter until you get knocked down.

I don't see anybody rejoicing. We've been whining and moaning for the past 2 weeks. After losing by 21 points per game against all of our D1 opponents so far, we're obviously to a point where we're looking for improvement and potential. What would you like us to do? Call for Layer's head a week and a half into his tenure here?

I was on the road tonight and flipped through the channels on XM radio and found the game on Big Ten radio. I was able to listen to the second half. The Northwestern broadcast team did a good job and had favorable things despite the double digit score differential.

A few things they said that stood out.

"Stephene has really impressed me in the second half" - That's a good sign to see him playing with confidence.

"The reason that Crawford has been open all night for the three is Liberty is packing it in against Michael Thompson after his career high 31 points last game. He has only taken 3 shots so far (5-10 minutes into the second half). They are playing Thompson well."

on Carter McMasters "I'm not saying he is too skinny, but he needs to get on a gravy IV. He lost weight at halftime."

on Jesse Sanders taking the brunt of the blow on the offensive charge "Mack truck meet Yugo"

I've never heard JE so angry after that charge. Even more mad than when we didn't get the first down in OT at W&M despite the fact that the ball was over the 15 yard line, which by the definition of overtime means it's a 1st down. I thought he was gonna get up and go yell at the players on the bench for yukking it up.

A stat from today's fishwrap that just about made me cry:
"Liberty...has lost its last four games by an average of 26.8 points."

Having these next two games against like competition will help confidence wise, because CSU and Coastal are both playing pretty good ball right now. I don't think LU is as bad as it's shown so far, but in no way were the Flames ready to face that caliber of competition, not yet.
