Just give the kid time to clear his head and meet the new staff.I dont see how he was stabbed in the back, coaching is a day job just like mine and yours, no one is going to look at you negatively when you take a higher profile job and get more money. I think you guys have taken the McKay thing a little to harsh, plus you may not know what has happened behind the scenes. In the end the guy just took a better paying job with a long time friend. Sorry but I am doing the same thing and a lot of yall would to

LUconn wrote:Its a business, they are young adults, its a good life lesson, but in the end McKay's got to look out for his family as well. I understand Jesse from a basketball standpoint is a little taken back, but to use the word abandoned thats pretty strong. Players just need to sack up and move on, its a business.BUSIMAN23 wrote:Come on. I'll admit he doesn't owe us anything despite what he might have kept assuring us of (over and over and over). The only thing is you going to work at a company just for a certain person, and the entire time they are telling you they are committed to being there with you and you go to sleep and the next thing you know you get a text from another co worker telling you they're gone.
And he isnt getting paid more, as of right now he's getting paid quite a bit less. As far as behind the scenes things go, this is not like the RD thing....there really wasnt much more then met the eye except on the "commitment" side of things...but I think they didnt want to lock him up having doubts if he'll be here
LUconn wrote:again, that's the "business" side. He made it more than "business". I can't believe we're still talking about this. How many times does a guy have to invoke non-business terms like "God's plan", etc. before you take the move as disingenuous? It is just my opinion and I was offereing, lets move on
LUconn wrote:I know that Oak Hill is close, but the fact that he plays basketball for Oak Hill pretty much rules us out.Oak Hill has two teams that play. If he plays on the one that the major colleges send there for a prep year or the kids go there to get a scholarship to a major school then yes, I agree we have no shot at him. However, if he plays on their B team then we could land him. Just my .02 cents.
