Several years ago one of the mid-major conferences allowed a transitional team to participate in the conference tournament and they won it. I believe the runner-up got the NCAA bid. Since then I believe all of the conferences have been careful to wait till teams are NCAA tournament eligible before allowing them to be in the conference tournament.

Lu Conn....actually in case you didnt know, usually the bench is considered depth. Someone has to play the full amount of 40 minutes at slots. If you have four starters averaging over 30 minutes a game that is a sign that you dont much depth. Just look when Smith and Curry are not in the game and you will see that we do not have depth at this time. I think in the near future Stephene and Weaver will be very valid scoring threats. If you went to the VMI game you saw just what happened when these two came out, we lost control of the game. All I'm saying is that we dotn have the type of bench players right now that can carry us to a win. They are young and still learning

Tyler Baker's 15 minutes aren't taking the load off of the starters.

Even if it is the High Holy One Tyler Baker, 15 minutes is still just 15 minutes.

Johnny plays about 15, and that's it. between the rest there's maybe about 10 minutes to be found.

IMHO, we have the depth, McKay just doesn't play them. I believe Austin and Bill could both put up about 15 minutes each as well. We have the guys on the bench to have depth, but I think McKay just wants the starters to play most of the minutes. This isn't a bad thing necessarily, unless we need to run a face paced full court press type of game like we should probably run against Radford. Maybe McKay will do that, but maybe he will just stick to what he has done all season. Either way, I don't think we lack the depth to run that type of a game.

We are not deep!!! No matter if we have guys on our bench - we don't play them and that doesn't look like it will change.
