Yes, and no. Weaver isn't dunking, but that's him playing "defense" (along with McMasters).

Also, in the pre-game shooting contest, our chancellor (in street clothes) outshot JB to a huge ovation from the crowd. Would have loved for Doc to see that. :clapping

Impossible!

Does this mean we'll get more chest pounding and holding the follow through up in the air for 5 minutes (as they are running the court beating him to the other end)
well, he took his shirt off in the dunk contest. he dunked in the scrimmage and ran to coach in the middle of the game and started doing some high five thing that took like 30 sec. I'd say yes, more chest pounding is in our future

Hopefully it does NOT mean he will rip his shirt off after dunks. He has obviously done some work in the weight room, but desperately needs a visit to HMO's place. Actually, I hope Kyle does not get too fixated on showing off his athleticism and forget his jumper.

Blwall, were you wearing a striped shirt and blowing a whistle last night? The ref I noticed was Mark Chafin, the LU sharpshooter from the 1970s, who can still get up and down the court in his 50s. I think the old guy is still in the top 5 of all time LBC scorers, and he's my former Sunday school teacher.

Mark is a good-ole boy from West Virginia who was one of the first people I met on arriving at LU in 1974 at the old Stewart Arms hotel on the corner of 8th and Church Streets downtown. I remember him predicting when Karl Hess arrived on campus that he would break every scoring record before he graduated.

No I wasn't reffing last night. I haven't reffed with Mark, but I have reffed with the other two guys before.

Based on last night's scrimmage, it looks like KO has traded in his outside game for doing his best impression of Alex McLean in the paint. It looks like he wants to bang inside with the big boys and show off his hops and inside muscle, especially since we are rather "slim" in that area.

For those who were not there to see, Kyle's upper body would be invisible in a blizzard.

Can anyone confirm this? That's a pretty impressive number to hang up in his first venture against D1 competition.

I heard he put up 20 and only played the second half against App St. I also heard we won that scrimmage... Two D1 wins in preseason scrimmages. That's a good sign...

I'd call that confirmed heartless. I'm trying hard right now to keep from getting unrealistic expectations. It looks like at worst we will have a team with tremendous offensive potential. If they can learn to play "D".....?????

Who were the two wins?

It was only one "win" and it was against App St.

The game against ECU we did two halves, lost the first, won the second. If you combined the two we would've lost the game.

I know we won the Appy scrimmage. I thought we scrimmaged ECU too and won, but that may not be accurate.
