What is a homerun? To me a homerun is getting a good coach who fits Liberty perfectly and knows what to look for in players...I think the 3 on CL's list all fit that criteria

Yeah, I guess I've seen the big names (aka homeruns) around here and they rarely work out to the extent people were hoping for...I didnt think RMK was a home run at first but after getting to know him (which I thought was pretty good but now I dont think so) I thought he was a home run...but I was very hesitant at first that's for sure

I suppose I agree HMO. I looked at McKay as a home run at the time...but we see how that worked out.

Article in N&A today quotes Tony Bennett saying McKay is a home run for him. Poor fella.

McKay is still a homerun--but now he's just a homerun for someone else (Bennett).

BTW, the N&A listed McKay's UVa salary today--only $160,000; Bennett is make more than 10 times that at 1.7 mill. 'Sounds like McKay came at a bargain basement price, if some ACC asst. coaches are bringing in a quarter to half a mill per year.

I cant say RMK is a homerun...and I really like him...if that's a home run then we need grandslams

At that salary, how can we say McKay's move was not a step down? According to Scar he should get 4X that amount.

Saying he wanted to stay at Liberty until he retires just as he was heading out the door. Throwing the God card around and around all the while. There's too many things about McKay that don't pass the smell test. I hope we get a new coach soon so we can put this behind us.

yup still not a homerun in my opinion...had the chance to go over but ended up getting caught up in wind and bounced over...ground rule double....but a lot of people got fooled by the bounce and only saw the ball going over thinking it was a homerun....nope
