As I said in the other discussion, this puts Radford up a game and a half on VMI with two to play and VMI is now a half game up on us for the second seed going into next Tuesday night

I have talked to a ton of coaches both big time and mid major as well as high school and there is no clear answer as to what to do in that situation. I subscribe to the foul theory and there are many coaches that do but there are just as many that say play it straight up. I have seen wins and losses in this situation by teams that choose to foul and teams that don't. It is not a clear cut black and white situation. Every coach tells me the same thing though: Whatever your philosophy is in this situation be consistent and do it all the time. If you foul with 3 then foul with 3. If you play it straight, then play it straight.

Sanders tried to foul Edwards but he didn't get enough contact on him. I think Edwards anticipated the contact and made enough of a move to get away from him.

He talked about Tyler and Austin, and how proud he was about the way Tyler responded and worked even harder when Austin started getting more minutes. He said that "between them they give us one pretty good player". This makes me think of the hybrid player we used to referr to as "Ohmerson" before Jeremy's injury and Kyle's emergence made it irrelevant. "Tystin Smitker" anyone?

BTW, Tyler's 14 last night was not just a season high, it was a career high, and it happened in only 15 minutes. We've talked about it for so long I don't want to jinx things, but if he can continue to play this well and shoot the ball with confidence, with the other threats we now have, it will make us very hard to stop on offense.

Yeah, he worked the WU @ CSU game earlier this year and he was making his typical, delayed/exagerrated calls and Horrez yelled out to him to let him know he wasn't on tv...Teddy turned around and yelled back something like, "I know, I just live nearby. That's why I'm here."

That's one of the reasons we get Ayers a few times a year. He lives in Roanoke. It's an easy trip.
