I would like to Thank RocketFan for holding me back and not letting me at that idiot, and I know Amos has my back the way I had his and Jon has our backs too... Im not talking about it anymore cause im just getting more mad...Cmon guys you know better than this
The guy was out of line, but the situation should have been avoided in the first place.

This guy will be dealt with, now lets deal with ourselves.

What the hell are you talking about? Tonight was the first time that we were even halfway in the wrong.
ToTheLeft wrote:He was out of line with the things he said. He should have been tossed. He did something that incited the guy in authority over him.
You've got to be kidding. He said, and I quote, "I can see your testicle" when the kid pulled his shorts up to his waist. Yes, that may have been over the line. However, the kid got in Chris's face, accused him of saying things over the line all night (which he wasn't), and told him not to say it again. When Chris put his hands up and kind of chuckled, the guy grabbed him by the arm and started pushing him up the stairs. Chris said, and I quote again, "Don't touch me. Let me get my things and I will leave, but don't touch me." Instead, the kid kept grabbing Chris's arm and pushing him up the stairs. Chris should not have been thrown out of the game. I have seen you say and do things so much worse than Chris did tonight. That is not something that deserves the reaction that it got.
ToTheLeft wrote:Guys, we need to fix ourselves before we try to fix the system...
Fix ourselves? What are you talking about? Ask anyone around us. Tonight was the first time that we even stepped a foot over the line.
ToTheLeft wrote:Every time this happens, we always have to concede we were wrong... How about not being wrong? How about rising above their standards... and showing that we can have a ton of fun and get into coaches and players heads without having to cross the line.
We have never said we were wrong before tonight. Our calling card is that we keep things clean and still can get inside most anyone's head.
ToTheLeft wrote:Every situation is different, but in all of them, we did something wrong. If you want to argue that, you will lose.

The only time we didn't do something wrong was when I was told not to say "Eat More Chicken" at the Volleyball match against CCU.

Every other time, it has to be "We were wrong, but..."
I'll argue that all day long because you're so far from the truth it's not even in the same area code. Where was I wrong in saying, "Sit down and shutup?" Where was Andy wrong in saying, "C'mon Coach, really?" Where were we wrong at Tech for clapping for our team? Tell me that. If you can pull that out of your butt you're a freaking magician.
ToTheLeft wrote:Be the example, keep it clean, and be mature.
Hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaha.
ToTheLeft wrote:The guy overreacted, sure. But Chris should have been long gone from that game based on the rules.
I already addressed how dumb of a statement that was.
ToTheLeft wrote:So how about we use our brains and rise above that instead of whining and crying every time something isn't perfect.
Really now? Did you just say that with a straight face? You couldn't have.

i think the guy should be dealt with and the issue should be addressed, but quitting is definitly not the answer. i'm not saying the guy wasn't wrong, because he was, and if he grabbed me like he did chris i probably would've knocked him onto the court. I'm just saying that this isn't something worth quitting over.

I hate it when people just give up or quit something because the don't like something about it. the whole purpose for the LUnatics was to change the atmosphere at games and have a loyal group of students who go to games and stand and cheer. If we let some people who are idiots and need fired stop the whole group, thats just dumb

I heard the word "sucks" a dozen or so times from you guys end, and you cross the line everytime.

And as for us being the in the wrong, you called the cop a dbag or whatever you said to him, and Luke went apecrap on the cop, so don't act like we handle everything perfectly.

I refuse to comment more until you calm down, however, since you aren't being sensible.

As I said before, I dont know the whole story of what happened so Im not gonna comment. All I know is that I have enjoyed being in the student section last few games. When the game is going on, Im a fan just like the rest of yall. When the game ends, if something happened during the game, you talk to em about it. You dont allow what happened to get under your skin. I took a few minutes after the game and talked to a couple of the HPU fans that were still around. They are great folks. Yes we dont need to be namby pamby about everything but as Christians, even as fans, we do not want to give people any further reason (whether fellow Christians or non-Christians) to think any less of us than they already do. I am a fan first, but I want to make sure that I do what I can to maintain myself even as a fan. And also, do not be afraid to do something nice after the game. Let the last thing that people see or hear from you be something positive.

By the way, what have I done at a game that is worse?

I never once talked about anything sexual.

As stupid as it is, that is against the rules, Testicle is a sexual word.

Its very sensible... Youre being ridiculous by the statements you make when you dont really know what happened.

Let's keep this about the game. I understand the frustration--however, we're all Flame fans. Let's cool down and we can discuss this issue when everyone is level-headed.

the guy only accused chris of saying 2 things, which he did say because i was uncomfortably close to chris the whole game. and he didn't throw up his hands in protest, he made a face at the guy and made fun of him. granted that is not something to get thrown out for, but lets tell it like it really happened

No one said quit. However, devote your entire life to something for two years and then get slapped in the face consistently for two months and see if you start questioning yourself. It took me a long time to bounce back from the low blow I was dealt in September of 06. Every time I have tried to do something for this school, even with the support of our athletic administration and our coaches, someone steps in and slaps us in the face. You can only get knocked down so many times before you question it. The truth is we'll be back out there for our next home game. However, there comes a point when you have to look at the lack of money in your bank account, the grades not being as good as they should be, and the fact that having class at 7:40 in the morning after traveling to a game is worth and ask, "Is it worth it?" I love Jeff Barber. I love Kevin Keys. I love Ritchie McKay, and I love our entire team. All of those guys have done everything they possibly could for us. All I wanted was to be able to lay the foundation for something great during my last semester at this school, and every time I get a brick down someone comes by and kicks it down before I can get the next one laid.

I have no idea what happened tonight nor do I much care. However, that's the worst piece of advice I've ever heard. If that's how you plan to live your life then you may as well change your name to Matt (assuming it isn't already) and get the word 'WELCOME' tattooed across your back. Fortunately for you, at Liberty, there's going to be a lot of chicks that dig that.

The guy was doing his job. Did he need to be so forceful? No. He pushed Chris past me and a few of us while the game was going on. I asked him after the game if he needed help with anything. He kinda snapped at me a bit (probably still pretty hot from what happened tonight and since he saw me right in the middle of that whole thing) but instead of getting all chippy, I just calmly repeated myself. He cooled down and then declined. Things can be resolved without force, or getting KK or what have you. If you want to accuse me of grandstanding, go ahead.

Alright. I don't like people bashing Jon or TBGBG. They both had my back and I appreciate it a lot. I will now inform those of you that keep talking about the situation about what you don't know. I talked to Kevin after the game and I admitted to him and everyone else what I did was slightly over the line but was not a huge deal. Kevin and I are in agreement about that. Where Kevin and I both agree the problem was in how the "security" guy reacted. There were much worse things being said and no warnings were given. This is college basketball and we all get passionate at times. The pushing and grabbing was not needed. This is the first time something like this has happened to me but Jon and TBGBG have seen this happen and I understand their frustration completely. Jon has put so much time and effort into this thing and is trying to bring about change to the athletic program here at LU. I applaud what you and TBGBG have done and I am behind you guys 100%.

What on earth are you talking about?

I was saying we whine and cry about everything when we wind up being in the wrong, and we need to fix that.

The whole plank and speck in the eye thing...

It's in some book called the Bible, maybe you have heard of it?

Chris Amos is one of the most respectable people that I know. The kid exudes more respect for people at this school and people in general than most of us combined. He said one word that was out of line and was drug out of the arena, but yet the guy was just doing his job? Explain that one to me.

We all think he handled it poorly.

Me and 14 are arguing, however, that you guys are handling it poorly, as well.

If having your back means breaking the rules, sorry kid, you are Crap out of luck.

We might be friends, but rules are rules.

He broke a rule and deserved to be removed.

The guy in the blue shirt doesn't know crap about Chris, and doesn't need to.

He broke a rule and deserved the door. He handled it poorly, but he did his job.

Yeah, I'm vaguely familiar. I was just going off of what seemed to be your dissertation on LUnatic Rules to Live By. If you meant something else, you should have said something else.

Here's where you're wrong: he broke a room and was warned that if he said it again, he would be removed. He never once said that word again because after he gave the kid a look that the kid didn't like, the kid decided to grab him and shove him out of the arena.

I have no idea what on earth you are talking about dude.

I said what I meant.

We have to say we were wrong every time we approach the people above us and whine about how we were treated.

Maybe if we fix that, we won't have so many issues.

How does this not make sense?

It isn't an obscenity in my book.

But the people who run the building we stand and cheer in think it is.

So for that time, it is.

No we don't. What are you talking about? I honestly have no clue. Luke's thing was before a game and is a completely different situation. Tonight was the first time in a game where we crossed the line and were in the wrong.
