Wasn't a D1 game so they didn't have to come.

*that's just a guess.

In a couple of years with some decent guard play we'll be good! Drew Smith and Stephen Baird could play the 3 or 4 and Gielo the 4 or have them on the floor at the same time. Personally I'd play them more now and work toward the future and let Minaya and JVP come off the bench. JC is like his brother - fearless Play Basketball I'm bringing my shoe horn to get into Randolph's gymnasium

Montreat simply doesn't have the horse to run tonight. Sorry, Haize.

Flames up 30-19 with 5:30 to go in 1st Half
Because they lost their hot shot recruiting coordinator who could convince All American players to come to the Mountains and major in Outdoor Ed!

That's because Presby is THE Presbyterian school, while eMontreat is just the home of THE Presbyterian Camp Ground. Oh, and Billy Graham!

How's that for perspective? I just hope they got their check, because in past years.........

TorC just because of that doesn't make them any better. Quite frankly Montreat got lucky from 3 quite a few times late that cut the margin down to 18. It was around 30 for the entire 2nd half.

But I wouldn't expect anything less from someone who takes every opportunity to take a swipe at everything related to LU athletics.

Yes lets make sure we continue to spin things in a negative way

Of course this team still needs to improve in many areas but please don't act like this team had any trouble with this team

Some choose to look at the reality of our programs and don't believe the horse he rides on is white.

Let's get something done that is worthy of applause based on the commitment of facilities and $$$ the university has made. Why do the core 15 posters justify the mediocrity of performance? I hope men's hoops wins it all and it they do credit should be given if they continue to propel backwards we should be honest and find solutions. Let's see if Turner Gill pans out as a championship coach or not. Risky hire done in one week? Who is responsible either way. The non D1 are done in hoops and we will see where we are at. Merry Christmas.

I DON'T justify mediocrity and neither to most posters on here!!! I am critical of things all the time. That is what is frustrating about your posts. You only see what you want to see so you can continue with your martyr complex

TorC- at least use the appropriate tools to post so that I can make some sense out of what you say.

At this point in time, I am more concerned about getting a W than comparing scores with our BS counterparts. I've checked out other fan sites and I don't see where other teams have had to overcome the injuries that we have. I don't think that is so much a coaching or AD issue, but I'd bet that TorC will try to change my mind!

I was wondering if someone would bring up comparisons with the UNCA and Presby scores against Montreat. Not surprising who did. The final margin in this game could not be more meaningless. We not only had 3 starters and a key reserve out, we emptied the bench fairly early. Bottom line is, it was an easy win, as it should have been. I do agree that in and of itself it is not necessarily a cause for great celebration, but couple it with the win over Hampton, who beat us last year and won their conference, and I am encouraged.
