Not your usual score for a game in Lexington. Evan sat out the last 7 minutes of the half with 2 fouls. JB has kept us in it with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kenon has 16 for them. Hopefuly Evan can stay out of further foul trouble and slow him down in the second half.

Getting outhustled right now. Too many second chance opportunities. Plus not hitting the easy shots.

were just not making shots tonight...seems to me we are getting touch fouls called on us and were getting mugged in the paint quite a bit with no calls.

With the exception for JB who is playing well, it would appear that our team forgot to drink their "5 hour energy" this afternoon. I just have not seen much hustle out of the guys tonight. Add to that the fact that we greased up with some Pam's No Stick spray before the game, the score is believable.

Giving the other side credit, Kenon has been shooting lights out the second half.....and DJ Covington is a beast in the paint. I sure hope VMI does not get the 7th seed. Not looking forward to facing them in the first round.

Just not our night tonight. I kind of thought that this would happen. But give VMI credit. It is hard to defend a guy that hot from 3 considering where he was shooting (NBA range) in Kenon. They really outhustled us in the second half.

79-69 Final ... our loss locks up the #1 seed for CCU who amazingly lost tonight to Gardner-Webb.

Hopefully this will help us in some way moving foward and getting the bid into the NCAA tourney.

I hate losing and I also hate rationalizing losses, but I think this loss will be good for us. We need to regroup and win 2 of these last 3 to get keep our mojo for the tourney.

I also am glad we will more than likely not have to face VMI in the first round.

No loss is a good loss. That's a myth.

I really don't agree with that. We actually outrebounded them by 6. In the second half they had several long rebounds bounce their way, and they converted the second chances with 3s. It wasn't hustle that beat us, it was a great shooting performance by a senior playing his last home game..

We out rebounded them soley due to JB....I know kennon was hitting but we could have taken away a number of those threes and made him drive. At least you only give up two that way.

Our post players had 13 rebounds (and 17 points). It wasn't just JB. Their guards hit shots and ours didn't. Minaya, Evan and Jesse combined to shoot 6-30.
