VMI is smaller than us and beat Radford easily with pressure D and 3 pointers. Lynch-Flor had a great game, but Parakhouski was shut down. We'll play our zone in half-court, and maybe use a bit more pressure than we have been. Radford did not handle VMI's press very well.

He said Greenberg left them in a 1-3-1 for way too long and they were just getting torched from beyond the arch. Mcduffie has been kicked off the team, which should help us quite a bit as he really hurt us the last couple years. The Phillip Martin kid is not all that as I have seen him play countless times at Roanoke Catcholic (high school) and at Radford. The 6'11 guy has been struggling mightily the last few games. He also said VMI pressed a whole lot against them, I told him I dont think he will have to worry about that with us ahha. WE dont have enough depth to waste energy pressing. Also he said Duggar got T'd up early in the game, he was begging for one against us as well.We don't have enough depth? Are you kidding me?
Anyway Lynch F will probly get his 20 and 10 against us but if we can force them out of the paint and turn them into a jump shooting team I think RU will struggle mightily

ToTheLeft wrote:IMHO, we have the depth, McKay just doesn't play them. I believe Austin and Bill could both put up about 15 minutes each as well. We have the guys on the bench to have depth, but I think McKay just wants the starters to play most of the minutes. This isn't a bad thing necessarily, unless we need to run a face paced full court press type of game like we should probably run against Radford. Maybe McKay will do that, but maybe he will just stick to what he has done all season. Either way, I don't think we lack the depth to run that type of a game.coolhandluke wrote:Tyler Baker's 15 minutes aren't taking the load off of the starters.jinxy wrote:Just talked to my RU buddy who went to the Radford VMI game tonight. Even if it is the High Holy One Tyler Baker, 15 minutes is still just 15 minutes.
Johnny plays about 15, and that's it. between the rest there's maybe about 10 minutes to be found.

LUconn wrote:Yeah, and that’s fine with me. They aren’t eligible for the postseason tourney, so I don’t care if they win the rest of their conference games except for the one against us. Every game they win in conference (not against us) is a loss to someone else in conference that will help our conference standing. So... Go Presby!!!DLP_Man wrote:It would seem that second place (although temporary as it may be) is up for grabs Saturday Night... just adds to an already compelling gameMaybe, maybe not.
