Comparing Giordanos & Ginos is like asking whether you prefer diamonds or sapphires. They are both awesome gems but personal preference could swing the vote.

The Demons Den is depauls message board for all interested in reading it. Nothing about us yet. But reading about their last home game, they all said just buy the cheapest tickets you find because ten minutes in you can basically be courtside because no one is going this year. Last home game the fans were booing their own team and throwing stuff on the floor.
Yes, but did the Bearcats just lose at home to a school at the level of Morgan State. If you read local newspapers the fans were constantly booing the team as debris had landed on the court, and Wainright had to coddle the players saying there remarks and boos were aimed at him which is only partially true.

You have a keen eye, my son. Corruption in this case is divine.

speaking of which, UIC is pretty decent this year. And DePaul beat them. How are they as bad as everybody in this thread is making them out to be? When was the last time we ever beat a Big East team? Ever?

I think this will be a pretty tough game for us...Dar Tucker is a very good, and he can score on anyone...hopefully we'll be able to get out of chicago with a win

how is UIC pretty decent this year?

Go to DePauls forums, everyone over there has them losing to us except for one guy who claims to have never heard of Liberty, has Depaul beating us by like 8.

Sounds like a good match up for Brolin:
“He’s the most athletic person on our team,” Curry said. Floyd adds, “another dimension, another slasher who can get to the hole and knock down open shots. He might be our best lockdown defender against the other team’s best player.”
An interesting perspective from the Depaul message board:
No Big East team should lose to a Big South team. The Big South isn't even Big. Why don't they show less arrogance or more originality and call that conference the Old South or something like that.

I know you're from chicago so you think you know them, but they're 6-2 with with wins at Vanderbilt and at Georgia Tech. Their only other loss was a close one to Bradley (who is historically good) and it was the season opener.

Young team, on the road, a lot of travel...who knows...this whole predicting to win by 10 thing is crazy....I'd be thrilled to walk away with any victory at all regardless of who's the better team

I think we should win, but when you’re playing a Big East school who knows.

It's going to be a tough game no matter how down in the dumps the program is. A Big East game and on the road...let's get in and out with a win. They do have the guys to create matchup problems. Our zone is def. going to be put to the test.

Yeah, I think predicting a win is a bit much here guys.

I would be as happy with this win as I was with the GMU win. On the road at a Big East team is a big, big deal.

Depaul is 45-160 from 3 as a team, that's 28%. They have 2 6'10" guys who start. I imagine our zone will be packed very, very tight daring them to shoot from long range.
