I just checked their site. Which, by the way- is a friggin mess.

they don't have the Feb schedule/calender up yet, for some reason- but if you search "Liberty" it does list the upcoming Winthrop game @ 9 next Sat.

anyhoo- someone let us know when they replay it- hopefully its Mon or Tues.

Wed nite is no good for me

go to libertyflames.com

They have a highlight of the game sometimes, for some reason they put the whole game up there. Go, watch, enjoy.

he was our guy tonight. there is one a game that we get and make him have a terrible game.
Actually JP's head's been there for quite some time..Truedawg & Coolluke- I haven't heard from y'all since I crushed BOTH of you on previous posts- so don't start now- you're still far behind..

I acknowledged the win already & I have when you guys have beaten other opponents- I didn't gloat when we won by 28 earlier in the year until this week- you can ALL go back & check the first game's posts when I offered my opinion on what you lacked which was a set up guy for Smith & Curry- so I'll be damned if y'all think you can talk sh_t to me now- check the posts from when we stomped your a$$ & tell me I'm wrong- I'm glad you FEEL vindicated but since no one really talked before, during, or after this game- your action's speak louder than words..

I enjoy the banter but reciprocate the sportmanship when you win.. otherwise we can compare basketball history- you'll lose that battle too I promise...

WSET Highlights

NewsAdvance wrote:Flames win despite a defense that’s pretty offensive

As the box score from Saturday night’s 78-66 win over UNC Asheville at the Vines Center bears out, Liberty has plenty of offensive options. Four players scored in double figures, and when the Flames needed a shot, they hit it.

What’s perplexing to LU coach Ritchie McKay is the Flames’ inability to string together defensive stops, an issue that nearly cost Liberty on Saturday. The Flames (16-7, 7-4 Big South) led by 16 at halftime but never produced a surge to put the Bulldogs away. That’s how they found themselves in a sticky situation with 3:51 left, when Eric Stubbs wrestled free of Kyle Ohman for a bucket that pulled UNCA (9-13, 5-6) within two.

I had an old college roommate & his wife in town who wanted to do a hockey game instead of basketball, so I was at the ice rink instead. I was amazed at how many people game out for a hockey game on a basketball night: and that probably explains why the Vines Center never sells out--there are hundreds (maybe a thousand) students and town folk watching hockey during our home basketball games.

I went to the game, and although I was somewhat disappointed we didn't put them away after building the early lead, I was very pleased at the way we regained composure and closed things out. Johnny Stephene's scoring outburst was a sight for sore eyes. Hopefully he will build on that. We really need him to provide a change of pace and a genuine scoring threat off the bench.

I really don't get that bent out of shape about a player getting hot like Smith did. He's their 5th leading scorer, and was averaging 8ppg. You don't build your defense to stop a guy like that, and especially to stop shots from the cheap seats. Give him credit for making them. We won anyway. I thought we had a lot of good defensive posessions, but some breakdowns as well. We outrebounded them, and only had 11 turnovers to their 21. It seemed to me that UNCA had a lot of unforced turnovers.

For Kingaling:

7-4 > 5-6

But since you are all about cumulative score, look at conference play so far.

LU is +40
UNCA is -4

November 18 is now officially ancient history.

Eddie is a genuine classy individual...and he is the quality Christian individual that would be accepted by the LU administration as a coach. In all the years of knowing him, I have never heard so much as a #$%&* or even a "frap" come from his mouth. He always started the team meals and games with a prayer...and not just the Lord's Prayer.

I watched the game on MASN... to me, Seth looked tired the whole game. At one point when McKay took him out (First half, I believe), he went straight to the chair and put his head between his knees. I haven't looked at the box score but it just seems to me off the top of my head that UNCA did a good job of keeping Ohman from shooting threes. Wish we could have done the same to that Smith kid - I believe Scar said he tied the record of threes from an opponent against Liberty.

Penn State scored in bunches in the 3rd period. I think LU lost in hockey something like 8-3 last night (after winning the night before).

We're well aware, but please don't act like that's a phenomena unique to Liberty fans. I believe they even have a special phrase to describe that kind of sports fan.

Glad you're such an expert on us, though. Maybe you can shed some light on what's wrong with PAmedic...
