in his defense BJ is the one who brought it up....this one is on BJ...
All I did was simply reference his ability to work the crowd.
Did you say work over the crowd?
I saw him coming after me one day with a clipboard!

BJ, some good thoughts, but if you can't coach, the least you can do is be a good cheerleader. I think we are already seeing the benefits of a better coaching staff and will for some years to come. I just hope as a fan base we don't have higher expectations than we should this early. Yes we are better, but we have very little depth and a long season ahead. GO FLAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last years team would have probably have won the league with TJ in place. And if we can't recognize the talent level that would have been in place this year without a change then it is the Iowa caucus. Rd has proven that he can coach. His passion for LU and the program got alot of us in the community on board or we would never be associated with LU athletics.
Yes and this years team with Larry Blair would have too, and if DB didnt had financial stability then yes this years team would play well. Theres nothing you can do about graduating /transfer stuff so what does that have to do with anything? Its a dumb point. To be honest with you i know of more people who refused to go to a MBB game because of RD then people who went to every game.

Checkmate I know youre trying to be positive, but can you please make a couple posts without referring to him and his glory? It's over, and weve talked WAY TO MUCH about RD and his departure. No one here respects him, whether it be because he showed up as LUreal and told us about how he is a top class coach, or because of how former players felt about him, or because he told fans to Saint The Francis Up during a game. Its probably tough being in the position you are, but here is not the place to bring that up again, weve spent too many pages talking about something that ended in February.

First of all I know Lureal and he is a longtime friend of rd. He was appalled at the direction of the board and all the attacks. So he believes a good thing was sabotaged. There are many in this community who think the world of coach and his family. This is not the first time or unfortunately the last that the "politics of destruction" are spun against good people in the LU circle. A handful of posters beat him up over many false assertions. I personally believe he had produces enough success to earn an extension. If people continue to be negative on rd then there will always be those who defend him. Decisions produce history and opinions of that history. The rm days were blessed with the talent rd left and rm legacy will be defined in the years to come. But I respect Rd for all he accomplished with the program and wish both staffs the best in years to come. Maybe we can focus on the team and its performance.

No, Randy, I don't know everything, but I know that we've moved on. I know that we're supporting the Liberty Flames Basketball team that's coached by Ritchie McKay. We're supporting the 2007-2008 team. We've moved on. Stop whining and moaning after every game about how much better we could've been or would've been or all of this stuff. Get over it.

wow....one small mention in passing about RD and all of a sudden we have to hear about how great RD is, and how wrong it is that he is gone....I am so sick of this. I am sick of both sides to tell you the truth. I don't care how great you may think he is or how much of a jerk you think RD was...all I care about is moving on...checkmate I know your whole point is to just get a rise out of people, but in the process you are not allowing this board to move on...its impossible for some people to shut up about RD when you bring up what many feel to be ridiculous things about RD

Probably checked the IP address.

Either way, the guy's here on Randy's behalf, and I just wish Randy and his friends would let us move on.

no. RD has a lot of very loyal friends and some of them apparently won't let it go. But in fairness, they seem to mostly fire back when it's brought up. So let's just chalk this one up as a tie and ask that BJ never bring it up again. Also
