True. That Tebow kid down in Florida turned out to be a bust. :D I'm waiting for the revolt en masse by the public school systems against the evil homeschooled crowd but not allowing them to partake in athletics at the high school level. With all this occupy crap, class warfare, fairness doctrine, etc. going on, it is just a matter of time. Anything to kick Christians in the teeth our government will do...bet on it. I'll stop since I am heading down a topic belonging in another forum.

Anyway, y'all should really relish the last few games with Mr. Sanders despite how the year has gone. Special players like that only come around once in a decade or so.

If I remember correctly, BJ Jenkins as well.

I was going based on the assumption that we were referring to best after him... Everyone knows he was obviously #1...

Yeah but all the girls loved him!

Especially a mediocre coach's daughter

I was thinking Marcus along with Larry Jackson came with some strong credentials. But I didn't realize Jeremy did as well.

I'm loving all of the memories of the Texas guys.

Marcus played against Allen Iverson at the Nike top 100 camp way back when it was "the summer camp" to attend.. LJ was an under the radar guy.. Jeremy was a home schooler that's career was hampered by a bad back( he married the Spurs owners daughter - good for him) His brother Nathan not recruited had a solid career at LU...

Mark Reed was a top player coming out of Maine... Eric Pothoven was Iowa player of year when he came to LU.... Nic Wright played at LU 1 year was top 25 out of Texas as a senior....

Curry was not recruited nor rated or ranked.. He just had the ultimate green light as we all know.

Aluma and Juice were sent by missionaries, literally. Not really ranked...

Highest rated recruited in history I can't remember but it's either White or Day... Both came out between 85-100 in their respected classes I believe..

But of course Hanky had all the players and no wins to show for it, or not many wins to show for it.

scar also a name to add to transfer list==. Adam Hopkins from Auburn.

I covered Nic Wright's games his senior in HS in my first year in Austin. He didn't seem to get much love from in-state schools.

I had forgotten that Jeremy was a homeschooler. I thought he played for John Hagee's school at Cornerstone.

Speaking of home school, and highly rated highschool players, Butternut Homeschool Association gave LU a very highly rated highschool player. Possibly best ever.
