I doubt if he will cause us anything like the problems Omar Carter did, and since he is transferring out we won't have to deal with him twice a year any more.

Ha, they said this kid was rough around the edges and that was one of the reasons he might not come here. Makes a ton of sense now.

I may have to come back for the Coastal game next year. That could be fun.

"rough around the edges" sounds about right. This is from another message board, so take it fwiw:
Forsurehooper:
I have nothing against Tre Lee the person. I know that any local kid that has the opportunity to play college ball, I wish them well. Colleges must bring in a combo of a quality person and a high quality player to their program. The name of the game is win, coaches are replaced all the time because the win column isn't filled. Leitao being the latest casualty.

But let's look at Tre Lee from a Liberty standpoint, from a totally objective view. Tre Lee is benched for the last 3 quarters in the first game against Woodside. Tre Lee get's suspended for two games following the loss at Woodside, suspension to take place during the Ronal Curry Xmas Tourney. Tre Lee get's two technical fouls called on him, and is ejected from the game at Virginia Wesylan against Petersburg, results in a 5 point swing in a tightly contested second half, Bethel goes on to lose. Tre Lee almost costs Bethel a first round regional game against Green Run by receiving a technical for removing his jersey before the final horn sounded. And let's not forget, Tre Lee had a very disappointing year compared to last year, his minutes were down and his scoring dropped in half. As a member of the Liberty coaching staff, I would be concerned. Liberty is a program that is on the rise, and I'm sure they have a coach that keeps up with all incoming recruits, tracks their senior year, so all that I've said I'm sure they are well aware of.

Edit: Mom beat me to it. Link for ^^ is here.

Let's see, kid can't keep his clothes on or his temper in check and causes problems when his team needs him most. I'm thinking that he may fit right in at Coastal.

They should sew his jersey to his shorts. Way harder to get out of.

"I think that Tre has unlimited potential," Ellis said. "What I like about him is that he's a guard that is long and that is committed to both ends of the floor. He's a very unselfish player. He's going to bring an impact in scoring to our basketball team. He has the ability to knock down the long-range shot and the uncanny ability to get to the hole. He's going to be a tremendous player for us, and we're very fortunate to have him as part of our program."

are you trying to say that costing your team games and making a fool out of yourself is not selfish???

seems like lack of playing time mainly. he transferred to wallace state (naia in alabama) and is getting playing time there. with greenwood, nieman and raffa all still being sophomores, ccu had too many guys out on the perimeter ahead of him vying for minutes.
