I picked up a brochure today at the game and saw that ticket prices have jumped up for the 2006 season.

2005 Prices Individual Game
General Admission $6
Reserved Seat $8
Premium Seat $12

Season Tickets
General Admission $30
Reserved Seat $40
Premium Seat $60

2006 Prices Individual Game
General Admission $10 on game day or $8 advance
Reserved Seat $15 on game day or $13 advance
Premium Seat $20 on game day or $18 advance (purchaser must be a Flames Club Member at the Flame Level -$250 or higher)

Season Tickets
General Admission $35
Reserved Seat $52
Premium Seat $72 (purchaser must be a Flames Club Member at the Flame Level -$250 or higher)

Although compared to VT admission prices these are inexpensive, but I wonder why general admission went from $6 to $10 or around a 66% jump, unless you buy advance. I would have thought to build a winning team this year and then raise ticket prices next year after they get people back into coming. However, the increased revenue won't hurt that's for sure.

The people that came last year, we're coming this year, regardless. The people that came last year we're either a) students with nothing to do on a Saturday night and it's free, 2) alumni or 3) boosters that have a vested interest in the program.

Those tickets still seem pretty family-budget oriented so as long as their not straining anyone's budget it shouldn't affect attendance and we'll get a little bit more of a revenue out of it. I like the move.

Those prices are cheap. A lot of schools charge $15-$20 per game with no advance discounts. Coastal charges face value for the season tickets plus a donation.
