In response to the other thread looking back on the 2007 season, I thought I'd start a thread here to come up with more ideas to take our gameday atmosphere up another level. We've done this before back on the old Firehouse and here as well in years past and we've actually seen many of the ideas com to fruition. I'm cool with rehashing some of the old concepts as well as adding some new ones.
Count me among those who would still love to see a Rock Royer tribute somewhere at Williams Stadium. Whether it be an actual rock or a plaque of some kind, I'd like to make an effort to draw on his larger than life persona and remind our students that football has been around more than just a couple of years.
I know it sounds hokey (not to be confused with a certain school west on 460) but I'd actually like to see the crowd waving their arms back and forth when "Fan the Flames" is being played. They do something similar at several Big XII schools like Kansas and Okie State but I don't know of any colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region doing it. It makes for a great visual. And if we could ever get fans to learn the alma mater, it be cool to have everyone hold their hands up with the "L" sign during the song a la "Hook 'Em" during the "Eyes of Texas". Its a great visual and helps build unity amongst a crowd.
But these are just random thoughts as I type this. I'd love top hear other great things you feel could maximize the experience.
