I’m a Buc fan and I’m looking forward to the game this week. I think Liberty has a strong team now that has come up just short is some games but are very powerful. You guys are on the right track with coach Rocco and once he teaches them how to win (and he will)…….LOOK OUT!

I really want to go to this game but it’s still up in the air on whether I’ll be able to make it or not. I’ve been to all of CSU’s games this year but this by far is the furthest.

I’m not big on prediction and I haven’t seen you guys play so I’m not going to make any. I do believe it will be a close game and I expect you guys to show up with good fan support and make it a tough environment for our guys to get a win in.

Taking a look at the stats, the Flame appear to be vulnerable to the pass. Well, guess how CSU earns a living? GW did a good job putting the pressure on the Bucs offense yesterday and Drafts still threw for over 450 yards and 4 TD's. I definately would not want to be the Def. Coord for Liberty this week. Gonna have some sleepless nights trying to figure out how to contain the CSU passing attack.

Thanks for finding your way to our board, guys. If you stick around for the next week I think you'll enjoying the conversation.

As for Drafts, we are very familiar with him from the past couple of years. He has our respect it will be a real challenge keeping him in check. Yes, our pass defense has been our achilles heal for much of the past month. But we have had some success stopping a quality passer at Towson so our staff should be able to gameplan well enough to keep us in the game.

What I find most disconcerting heading into this game is the fact the Bucs have won their close games this season (albeit against subpar competition) while we have suffered far too often in close games. Abnd I agree this one should be close on Saturday.

On the other sid eof the ball, your defensive coaches are going to have some long nights preparing for our grand game. We will obviously be looking to shorten the game with our backs, Rashad & Zach.

Two words help negate Collin Drafts: Jason Horn.

If Jason's back we can drop Manny or Stevie Ray into coverage instead of using them to get a pass rush.

The 'bend don't break' defense of CSU hasn't faced a running attack as good as LU's, so it'll be interesting to see how they fare against it.

If you drop into full coverage Collin will kill you with his feat. He can run too. If you drop six or seven and expect Horn to pressure Collin alone, then it will be off to the races. Drafts is a very mobile double threat QB.

No kidding. What I was saying is Horn gets pressure on his own so we can be more imaginative with blitz schemes. We run a 3-4, not a 4-3 like most people. Right now we've been having to blitz at least two LBs to get pressure. With Jason, we can afford to blitz just one, put a spy on Drafts, and put some guys in coverage.

You won’t play an odd front this week I promise you. Wach on Saturday, your coaching staff will adjust out of it, they may play a 3-4 for certain personnel packages but not much. If they do then it will be suicide, they won’t though, Rocco is a good smart coach.

You have no clue what you're talking about. We run a 3-4 scheme. It's our base defense. Yes, we may go nickel or dime some but the 3-4 is our base defense. Saying we won't run it is like telling Coastal they won't run a 4-3 or something like that. That's just stupid.

Watch and see, then tell me how stupid I am. Your staff will make adjustments this week, if they don’t then they won’t be in coaching for long.

Base defense or not, they will move out of it or you will not stand a chance at winning the game. You will run it some, but not the majority. I won’t go any further because I can’t type a book on it and break down the schemes for you, just wait and see. It's the games within the game.

I didn't come here to get in a [*Edit - Colorful - Sly*] match with SJ.

haha...

the coaching staff is pretty committed to the 3-4...of course they will mix it up.....but I think our 3-4 is fairly strong, especially wish Jason coming back...like SJ has been saying its a totally different game defensivly with him in the game, if he was not coming back then I think I would be agreeing with you

So these guys are 9-0. Being from Ohio, I am not qualified to make assessments on level of competition. It looks as though Wingate and N. Greenville kept the offense in check the best.

CSU Buck, what scheme challenges Draft the most so far, if any? We played some more man this last Sat. to help out our soft middle. Our cov 2 zone leaves too much space between 2nd and 3rd levels. I was glad to see this adjustment, although, man coverage will get chuck so's crossing routes. I do believe Jason Horn's presence has been missed and our compensation for it has made us vulnerable. We are a solid run stopping defense with our starting personnel, but we have lacked significant pass rush since Horn's injury, which we try to make up with blitzing, which has been marginally effective, while making us vulnerable in the area vacated. One must wonder if Horn's return will be anywhere near pre injury effective. And the leg has still got to be questionable.

welcome CSU BUCS. this should be a good game. we have indeed had trouble defending the pass, and so have you. if our passing game was a bit better, i would call this a coin flip. you guys are better than us statisically against the run, so it will be very interesting. i am hoping rashad will continue to get healthy, b/c our two headed monster at RB is awfully tough. your schedule is a bit soft, but kudos on being undefeated and you are the defending champs. the home field advamtage could be the thing that will get us over the top this week. if you get up to lynchburg, stop by at our flamefans tailgate.

I may have to drive down for this one. Getting back in town from work travel late Friday night. I look for a high scoring game but I like us at home to FINALLY win a close one.

Welcome to all the CSU folks that stopped in.

I don't know about kids just yet. Our lives are too hecktic right now. Living in 2 different cities can be taxing on your body and your budget. HBF you have a great kid and it was really neat meeting your dad and having him hang out with the boys! Hope you guys get to come down again this weekend. Maybe we can talk Medic into getting off those pain killers in time to make it down here. Bring Mrs HBF and the other little ones too. The more the merrier! Looking forward to seeing all of you guys again. Thanks for the Potato rolls, relish and Heinz Ketchup. I have a list of other needs for this week starting with warmed up rolls.
