Their alumni base is largely still in the area. We knock them off by one in front of a full house, spoiling their chance at a rematch with Villanova.

They have played some close games with average teams (Charlotte, Delaware, Albany, Stony Brook). They have a mobile quarterback, Vad Lee, who is accurate passing the ball. He looked great against Richmond and Stony Brook. Seem like a similar team to CCU, but with a weaker defense.I think the Defense can keep them around 23 pts we can come away with like a 4 pt victory, don't wanna get into another shootout with another team. What plays into the Flames favor is they probably wont be favored and in just about every game they have nothing to lose, but can become media darlings by winning.

On the other side of the ball, we need to execute better in the red zone, and the opponent's side of the field (Having Woodrum healthy would help a lot). We were fortunate to get that YAC touchdown by Peterson. We would have struggled to get a touchdown without that big play.
josh/masha legs will be the difference, I just hope overall decision making is better.

I think that the ration between the people who are relatively normal and the wacko koolaid drinkers are about the same. In both cases, the wackos are ignorant. That isn't meant to be a commentary on Dukie's post. If folks here think that we will be playing a team of the same calibre as Coastal, there will be some surprised fans come Saturday.olldflame wrote:Their defense gave up 27 to Elon though, which is the most the Phoenix scored all year. Not saying Elon was a fantastic win, but the stats certainly don't tell the story there.
Anyway, should be a great game!
